It really depends on your body type, it is possible in general. I lost 30 pounds in 4 months, 1200 calorie balanced diet of LOTS of veggies and very little fat. 1 hour of cardio at least 4 days a week. It was rough lol.

Diet and exercise.  That’s the way I did it.  Find an activity you love and do that as much as you can.  I’ve been doing a combo of boot camp, yoga and cardio at the gym.  I counted calories and found that to be the easiest way to monitor what i ate.  I used myfitnesspal.com.  It’s free and easy.  Basically, your goal appears to be to lose 1 lb a week.  Doesn’t seem so bad when you put it that way!  Good luck!

Could you possibly use the same tools and tips that were given to you by your old trainer?

I think 30 lbs in 7 months is totally doable. I haven’t done it myself. But I had lost my 45lbs of baby weight in about 5 months. It was more like 25 after birth though.

Just a diet and exercise plan should suffice.

I have done it. I lost 35 lbs in 4 months. I joined Weight Watchers and stuck with the plan. I counted my points, got my exercise. It really helped! It gave me a great perspective on choosing foods, portion control, and all of that good stuff. You can definitely do it :-).

I think it ultimately depends on your bodies set weight and your current status.

Generally, people say 1-2 poundsper week is a healthy rate, so I could see it happening with some persistence!. but we do run into plateaus and some times we have unhealthy goals, so our body will fight and  hold on to weight.

I lost a considerable amount of weight at one point in my life adn I did it through portion control and walking! Just watch what you eat and get out to move!

Here are my top 10 weight loss tips, in no particular order. I have lost oveer 25 pounds in 4 months. Laughing

1-drink a glass of water about 10-15 minutes before each meal. It helps you eat less. Also replace any juice/soda with water

2-chew gum while cooking to avoid the temptation to sample. It eliminates a lot of uncounted calories.

3-set your alarm 30-45 minutes earlier than you need to be up and go for a brisk walk.

4-Write down everything that you eat/drink and review it at night. Let your Fiance see the list too. If you are accountable to someone, you are less likely to cheat. Plus if he gives you encouraging words when seeing how restrained you are being, it motiviates you to keep with it.

5-set goals and rewards for yourself, that are not food or excersise related. ie- If you go one month without skipping a workout, treat yourself to a manicure. Get your Fiance involved- if you reach a certain goal, he will give you a foot rub while you watch a chick flick, or he will cook dinner while you relax in a hot bath..

6- brush your teeth right after dinner to reduce the temptation to snack.

7-do excersises you enjoy. You are not going to stick to something you hate.

8- work excersises into your daily routine, no matter how silly you look. Do lunges while you brush your hair, dance while you sweep the floor, lift weights (or milk jugs full of water) during commercial breaks.

9-have lots and lots of sex

10- Don’t get yourself down when you slip. It’s not easy. Hell, if it were, we’d all be a size 0 on our wedding day. Each day, and each meal is a new opportunity to get healthier.

Good luck & have fun!

I lost 2 pounds a week on average by doing WW’s. 33 pounds total and met my 10% weight loss goal.

I was very strict with the food points, and didn’t allow myself any extra at first.

I exercised A LOT.

And I made myself pay to go to meetings just to get weighed in front of someone. And I always went on a Monday to keep myself motivated to not cheat over the weekends. It was a BIG motivator.
