I ended up doing quite a bit of solo shopping. After going with my Parents, friends and fmil and fi.

I think for me it was great. Because I already knew what other people liked and didn’t like, what I liked about solo shopping is I was able to focus on what I liked and wanted for myself. I went solely based on my feelings. It also nice not to have chaos that comes when a big group goes.  I personally found it more relaxing and laid back, and I felt like I was able to use utilized my consultant more that way.

OMG I am not usually a fan of trumpet/mermaid styles but that Romona Keveza looks beyond amazing on you! Also like #1 but the third one made my jaw drop!

I like #2 and #3 the best.  I can’t pick between the two, though!  I generally don’t like the style of the 3rd dress, but I also really think it looks fantastic on you!  I shopped with my mother and sister because I really wanted another opinion and it helped me commit to a dress.

Truthfully, none of those dresses look quite right to me. Have you considered a sheath style? You have a great body, and I think a sheath would look stunningly elegant on you. Or maybe a very slim a-line (even slimmer than the Watters dress).

I did my dress shopping in 1 day on my own. I hit 3 boutiques and just got it out of the way. I almost always shop alone, so I didn’t see why wedding dress shopping should be any different. And since I went out with the intention of paying for the dress myself, the only opinion that really counted was my own. That said, after deciding on the dress I did show it to Mr. LK, my Mom, my Dad, and Teen LK for their votes before making the purchase. I knew I loved it, but it was nice to hear that they did, too.

I love the last one but it just makes me think of the old Barbie doll wedding dress from the late 80s/early 90s.  Then I get distracted thinking about Barbies.

I only did ONE shopping trip and that trip was solo.

I am the kind of person that gets easily confused by too much input from others…at the end of the day, YOU have to love it.  I vote for you to go solo!

p.s. imo none of the dresses you posted are ‘the’ dress…I think you can find something that is even more ‘wow’!

I left work early after a particularly bad day and drove an hour and half to a dress shop I’d heard about.  By myself.  And that’s when I found my dress.

My mom lives across the country, and we’d gone shopping together before, but hadn’t found the perfect dress.  So, I’d had the “shopping with mom” experience.

I did bring a friend back with me to purchase the dress after putting it on hold.  I informed her, however, that she was only allowed to say great things about it. ๐Ÿ˜‰  I just wanted someone to share in the actual moment of purchasing my wedding gown.
