that’s what i’m doing!  I had hope to lose 20 pounds…I started 2 months ago lost 8 pounds, and i have just about 9 weeks left…so i *might* make it!!  I’m counting calories using iphone app “MyFitnessPal” and going to the gym 3-4 nights a week.  And definitely eating healthier, more fruits/veggies, less processed food, so I don’t retain so much water from sodium.  And while I’m on the treadmill, I watch shows like SYTTD or Amsale Girls…something to motivate me to look good in a wedding dress! ๐Ÿ˜›

Keep it up!!! We can do it! ๐Ÿ˜€

@CrispyRN:  Ahh as of this coming Saturday, I have ten weeks to go! Can we be fitness pals? I’m not doing so well sticking to my diet and keep skipping my cardio workouts but NEED to get on this!!!!I need some accountability!

I actually have a blog where I write all this out, formerfatkids.wordpress.com !! Haha, maybe if I know someone is reading, I’ll be better about actually working out.

My goals: lost about 20 lbs in 10 weeks! Ahhh.

@classicirreverance:  a bunch of us bees are on MyFitnessPal! add us! I’m (creatively) lionskitty. The site is free and has really been helping me keep up with counting the calories. It also logs exercise *ahem* if you do it and calculates a projection.

I think the food journal is the best way to go since a lot of times you don’t realize how much you ate without writing it down. I also think it’s important to let yourself have a little treat so you don’t crash and overindulge. You could do it with fun-sized candy bars, a few hershey kisses, etc. I do it with 100 cal popcorn! It’s yummy and it takes so long to eat you don’t feel hungry afterward. And you could do sweet (kettle corn) or salty (light butter)! Also I drink A LOT of water so I stay full longer!

Hey there ladies, you all have great tips. My favorite tip is not dieting at all. I found if I say I’m on a “diet” I fail miserably. I eat what I’d like, but in moderation. I write down EVERYTHING in my regular planner so I see it when I open it. I drink a full glass of water before eating. I plan all meals for my FH and I on Sundays when I go shopping. And I keep a box of raisin bran at my desk in the office. If I feel like I’m doing really well, I look at a picture of myself that was taken before I started dating my mister. I was 40 some odd lbs FITTER, and it reminds me that I haven’t met my goal. I set an alarm on my phone for 6pm everyday that says “GO RUN!” so I can’t “forget”.

I hope this helps! Good luck, and remember, your fiance loves you the way you are right now. If he didn’t he wouldn’t have proposed! ๐Ÿ™‚
