This may be a strange question, but did anyone experience weight loss after a MC? I had already put on about 5 lbs of pregnancy weight during the 8 weeks I was pregnant, and I was wondering if once the pregnancy hormones left my system, things would go back to pre-pregnancy size.
I’m also struggling with when/how to start working out again while my body is recovering from MC. Any advice from bees who have been through this before?

@hippomama: I have not been through this. Sorry for your loss. However, my sis in law did a few years back and she actually gained waight, but once the doctor gave her the green light to go back to regular working out routine, she did. Have you talk to your MD and ask if this is normal or okay for you to start working out? GL

@MrsR4ever: I have an appointment on Thursday. As far as working out, she basically said “listen to your body,” but my body is always tired and never wants to work out, even before pregnancy! Definitely will ask for more clarity when I see her again.

@hippomama: I didn’t quite make it to 8 weeks but I did experience some weight-loss right after the MC. I am usually about 130lbs and I went down to about 125 in the weeks following the MC. I’ve since gotten back up to normal but it seemed to just kind of work itself out.
I don’t have a regular exercise routine but would echo the sentiment that you should listen to your body and do what you feel comfortable with.
