I was told to try not to lose ANY weight after the dress is altered. You don't really know where the weight will come from, so don't think you can predict if or where it won't fit. I wouldn't risk it! Either don't lose weight or get it altered sooner to the wedding, maybe somewhere other than Kleinfeld's.
Is it possible to have the dress altered closer to the wedding? Its usually supposed to be done 6-8 weeks before the wedding
@bells: I was lucky enough to have 3 lots of alterations and dress fittings. I had the final alterations done (after losing 14lbs) a week before the wedding. Things might be different here in Scotland though.

I purchased my dress from Kleinfeld and am going back to have my dress altered next week. I am originally from New Orleans and my wedding is March 24. My main worry is that I may loss too much weight between having the dress altered and the actual wedding day which is about a two month period. How much weight do you think I can loss without the dress looking too big/ unfitted?
