I know it sounds strange, but I need help picking out a color. I know you are supposed to start with the color but I didn’t. I didn’t want to limit the dress possibality for the girls. Well I have decided to go with a blck dress for the ladies with a tan and black lace top. I think that white lillies will look so elegant with their dresses but I think I need some color somewhere. I was thinking of picking a color for the guys ties and then doing something with that color around or in the flowers for the ladies.
But this is where the thought process stopped. I dont know what color do to.. what color looks great with black suits (everything right?)
What about a printed tie? Would that look strange?
Help me out… show me or tell me what you think.

What do you plan to do for decorations?

@kjo: Honestly I haven’t really put to much in to decorations. It’s a really small wedding, and its at a upscale restuarant where they will have the tables preset with the water glass and all that… So I was just thinking of doing some kind of small centerpiece with candles or photos. The wedding is pulling toward a vintage theme so far.

What about doing black, tan, gold, white….
I would go to a suit store, and pick out a printed tie! I was just looking yesterday and there are just sooo many to choose from. I would pick something with tan, black, and white or ivory
Like similar to this I found on perfectpalette.com

You really dont need to add another colour, my girls are wearing black dresses, and my “colours” are white, and bling. Its all going to come together nicely though, it doesnt have to be matchy matchy ya know?

Do you have a picture of the dress?
I think you could just do the black and tan if you wanted…maybe toss in some gold tones to make it a bit more exciting?
Or how about a deep purple, rich red, or maybe a cool blue?

Are there any colors in your venue that you really like? It would be easy if your venue has a lot of red, or blue, or green, to kind of go along with it.
