Oh no! That stinks! Was your ring too big or did you get your hand caught on anything that day?

Check between the door and the seat….and move the seat back and forth….if you felt it on your hand in the car it may still be there!

I’m so sorry.  🙁

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to post a lost ad on Craigslst.  I actually recovered both a Botega Veneta wallet and a gold earring in NYC through CL (and have returned the favor when I found someone else’s wallet). It can’t hurt to try.

Wishing you the best of luck to find it!

Oh no! I really hope you find it. Check everywhere in your car! And if you do find it, insure that baby STAT!

@woodlandfairy:  Oh, I’m so sorry that happened!  If it was me, I’d buy a CZ right away.  At least in the meantime of figuring out what  you’re going to do.  Or maybe just get an Asha?

That’s awful. 🙁  I know how you feel in a way.  My grandmother gave me a ring for my confirmation at 11 and it just disappeared in my morning routine a couple years ago… I just knew I’d find it but no luck.  It wasn’t worth more than a couple hundred but it’s one of the few things of hers/reminded me of her I had.  I hope you find it!

I say if your sister is genuinely offering another ring with no strings and you would like it…  Take it!  Promise (and do) give it back if you find yours.  Only IF you are going to get it sized properly and insured!!!  With Jeweler’s Mutual’s Perfect Circle it was only $29 a year for my engagement ring valued at $2650. My band is less than $250 and I should add it, and his, which is less as it was his grandfathers and had to be sized up so it’s pretty thin.  This makes me want to get on it!

@woodlandfairy:  Ugh, over a wk ago, during an apt cleaning my ering flew into the thin slats of the baseboard heating.    FI said to me “ugh, what now” and I said, “whatever.  we’ll use my heirloom.”  We found the ring recently.

Point is, for us anyway, we survived.  Use a placer, whichever you choose.  The lost ring will show up.  And if it doesn’t, you guys will work it out.  One thing I realized is that our predecessors married without our elaborate rings.  There’s always that one year/5year/10 year anniversary, right?

How awful!  But actually this sounds exactly like something that would happen to me.  My boyfriend has given me about five rings for birthdays and Christmas and I end up losing them all, one I lost even the day after he gave it to me lol.  Luckily he’s smart and they were only about 15$ a peice.  We’re both in agreement that when he gets my engagement ring it CANNOT come off my finger, so anyways it happens.  Your sisters ring sounds like the best option since you don’t have money for a ring, just learn from your mistakes and get it properly sized is all you can do at this point
