Do you judge them for what kind of food it is?
I really don’t mind when people post food on FB, especially if it’s something that’s homemade that I can steal the recipe for. 😉 There is one person on my FB, however, who posts food every day, but it’s fast food. Junk food. ALL of it. Every time there’s a new burger at Carl’s, or it’s jalapeno popper night at Jack in the Box, it’s on my newsfeed. (Yeah, yeah, I know I can hide her posts… but her other stuff is fine! Haha!)
Now, I eat my share of fast food. I shouldn’t, but sometimes we’re so damn busy that we just don’t have time to cook something at home. I know it’s unhealthy for me though, so I’m not going to blast it on my facebook that I sometimes have bad eating habits.
I think the thing that bothers me about it is that they’re all artsy instagram photos, of like, a big mac in its box, or a burker king cup. 😛
(Btw, I realize this is a really dumb thing to be irked by, but I figured I couldn’t be the only one with an irrational irritation with this! 😉 )

That seems dumb. Why post food someone else made? Unless it’s a gourmet restaurant, I’m not going to show off my run of the mill burger and fries from the drive thru down the street.
But I do love posting food pics if I go out somewhere neat or if I make an exceptional meal myself. And I don’t mind seeing those from others!

Yeah I love posting food pics but definitely not of no fast food LOL….if I saw that all the time I would probably be like umm….how about a post of something that you made?

I don’t mind seeing photos of a special, elaborate meal you made, but I don’t need to see the scrambled eggs you had for breakfast or the grilled cheese you had for lunch or the Big Mac you had for dinner.

I hate all food pics. And they usually look so unappetizing. Eat it, don’t tweet it!

@StephieBee: Hahahha I completely know what you mean, there’s this girl on my instagram who ONLY posts this type of photos. And it’s repeated like how many times can you eat a big mac with fries and a drink, pretty sure she posts that like 4 times a month! If she’s not posting about McD’s, it’s greasy pizza or some other nasty fastfood place. eeeeeek

I’ll admit it, I judge! Especially when it’s crap like a pack of cream cheese, half a pound of cheddar, mixed with 2 cans of cream of chicken soup, rolled in pizza dough, coated with mozzarella and marinara and deep fried. I mean…just stop.

@RipleyC: Man that sounds good!
I don’t judge what other people eat, but I would never post my McD’s on FB for everyone to be all “That’s why you’re fat!!”

I’m too busy judging food pics in general to care about the type of food in them, to be honest. Luckily my news feed had ben food-free for a long time, though unfortunately the same can’t be said for pints of beer.

couldn’t care less what other people eat, so no I don’t judge them by what food they choose to post.

We belong to a circle of foodies. That being said, no one is posting pics of their mangled McDs (that I would definitely roll my eyes at). Anything that pops up in our feed is literally gourmet, better wear your suit jacket, fancy food art. Eating is our hobby so we love the food porn and hole-in-the-wall hook-ups that come from the info sharing.

I enjoy seeing those pics if it’s something pretty like bright fruits and veggies, nice salad mixes, intricate desserts, gourmet-looking entrees. But I wouldn’t want to see someone’s fast food.

I am definitely not a food snob. It’s funny how it’s become so trendy to post pictures of what you’re eating. I think Facebook is weirder than posting pictures of McDonald’s.

Hmm I post food pictures but only if it’s very pretty food. Like when I when I go to Chicago and get amazing food I can’t get back home.

I’ll admit that I post food pictures on Facebook, but rarely. Once in a while I try something different and I’ll post about it on Facebook if it goes well, but I also share the recipe with the photo. Last month I made an “Olive Garden” alfredo sauce. It was awesome, so I posted it. I tried making a group, but someone kept reporting it, so I just limit the posts to once every now and then and I have an album for my kitchen adventures.
I know that people don’t care that much about my food. I couldn’t imagine posting a picture of everything I ate every single day.
