I don’t understand the appeal. Sure, they’re nice shoes but what makes them so great? I see “Loubies” posted on here a lot.. so can someone tell me what’s so magical about them (besides the red sole and the price tag)?
*This post is not meant to offend anyone’s taste, I’m just genuinely curious.

His shoes are very unique looking. Sleek and classy. It’s hard to explain, so I’ll include a pic of what I’m talking about… Not many other designers have that look. I’m a shoe addict, though.

I’ve always sort of wondered if they are more comfortable or something too. I wonder if anybody can comment to that effect?

@hopefloats: Hm. I’ve never heard of them before, so I googled them but to me they just look like regular shoes. But I’m not a shoe girl at all. I own like…5 pairs? LOL.

For me, it’s somewhat comfort. I can tell a huge difference when I’m wearing a pair of $60 heels compared to a pair of $600 heels. I have weird feet too. Besides, they are classic, sophisticated and my eye is instantly attracted when someone in front of me has a red sole!
I’m picky about shoe’s, jeans and purses though.

Im a shoe addict too. I have to say Im also drawn to the designer shoes vs lesser expensive styles even when they are similiar…..its usually some small detail of some sort or another. But for me it always makes a difference. I cant really say why….have no clue.

@K_alecia: haha oh gosh, with my Jimmy Choo’s I can smell the high quality leather right when I open the box. I get perkier the second I put those bad boys on.

I’m very into fashion, and Ive never really seen a difference in the design between his shoes and a normal pair of pumps, from say.. Steven Madden? If they didnt have the red sole, would they be as appealing? I only say this because compared to other high end designer shoes (Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen, etc) Louboutins aren’t very creative in style, or as glorious/revolutionary as they should be for the price. Or at least that’s my opinion…

I’m kind of eh about them. They’re very nice, but nothing special in terms of style. There are a lot of other designer shoes that I appreciate more, but that’s just me!

I’m a Loubie addict. The quality is amazing, they instantly enhance any outfit and you feel like a million pounds wearing them!

I think they usually look like Aldo shoes, other than the red sole which 97% of people don’t notice… Unless they felt like slippers when you wear them, I wouldn’t spend the money.

I have one pair and they are more comfortable than the majority of the shoes I own.
The thing you have to remember about most fashion (definitely not all) is that the price tag usually mirrors the fact that the materials and craftsmanship to make the garment/shoe/accessory are higher quality.

Heather – oh yes and there is that!
Bees, I have to say….While I find myself more drawn to the more expensive shoe….I rarely buy the more expensive shoe. Im the same way with purses….but with purses its because i treat my purses horribly and after a few months they need replacing!

@Button: haha or a million bucks? I don’t think I want to feel like a million pounds

I LOVEEEE them but I love a lot of shoes… I definitely don’t think they are worth that price tag!
Have you seen the pink sole shoes? I like pink much better than red and they are $50-$100.
