I get the idea, but I'm not sure the style matches. Maybe I'm picturing it wrong, but with Spanish tiles, cathedral doors, and a chimney it sounds like this place has some traditional style and charm, while this particular furniture is really modern and would fit more of a club atmosphere. I'm personally not a fan of the look, and I think it would stand out badly in a more traditional looking room. That said, if I am picturing the room wrong, and you do have more modern styling, uplighting, etc. in your design, then this could go well. It all depends. But I wouldn't put this particular set there just to fill up space unless if really does fit seamlessly into the aesthetic of the room.
Can you get a picture of the room to help evryone visualize? I think the idea of a seating area away from the hustle and bustle of the dancefloor will be a nice retreat for people, but not really sure how that specific furniture will fit in...
@GreenLeafMountain I can see what you are saying, I kind of does have a traditional feel to the room, but we are adding amber lighting, maybe a different style of furtniture would suffice?
@Magsalot: Did you decide already if your adding it??? they doing that a lot here in DR. I like the idea of creating different "areas" for the reception. You can have a very traditional venue/decoration/reception but you can add some modern details for younger guests. Have you seen it before? maybe in 15 anos?? I think it works.
our venue is full of chaise lounges and plush club chairs. I love it! The dance floor section of the venue is very large and i love the vibe of the whole place!
i'm still deciding if i want to have them, but i am also looking for a more traditional couch, so that it fits in more with the venue but also gives the younger crowd a place to "hang out" by the fireplace.
i've heard that the have become alot more common in weddings! Thanks mrs.fernandez!

Hi Bees,
I was wondering about this... FI and I are having a Romanticism type of wedding. Our colors are champagne and blush with hints of ivory. In looking at our venue I noticed that the dance area is extremely big. If you can picture this with be that would be great. One part of the room has carpet and is for the tables and the other half is all spanish tile, So what i was thinking is that since the whoel place has cathedral windows and doors, and a chimney on the tile side, would it look good to put gem lounge furniture on that side by the chimney so that the room looks warm and inviting and stil have the dance for. There is more than enough room for it. What do you bees think???
