It's hard to say since we can't see the dresses on ya. But, I just freaking squealed at the second dress. I love it! Seriously. Its so romantic and feminine. I'm pear shaped too, I happen to like my curves and I think that dress would be most flattering. Ah, I want it now! :)
Have you tried on the dresses? I've tried on the ML and I have to say it's not the most flattering if you have curves. Plus I love the second dress more :)
Honestly, I don't like the first dress, it looks like a doily. I love the ribbon around the 2nd one. I don't even like it on the model and she doesn't have lovely curves. Try them on and see how they look.
Just from looks I would say the Romona... but every dress looks different on every person. Go try on both and make your decision after you've seen yourself in them.
Ugh...it's too difficult of a choice! Thehy are both amazing (and my taste)!
I think it really depends on how you look and feel in them!
I love the 2nd one, but it would be better if we could see you in them. but yea the 2nd one (swoon). Love it!
The first dress is pretty, but if you are self conscious about your hips, it will definitely accentuate them. Not necessarily in a bad way, but if you are not thrilled to be pear shaped and love showing it off, I don't think that dress is the best shape. I love it though and think it's gorgeous.
The Legends dress however, will look fabulous. I prefer it because of the design on the skirt. Just gorgeous
I say the second, my FI votes for the first. Try them on though, the most important element to looking phenomenal is the fit. They are both gorgeous, go with the most flattering.
I like the second one and think if you have a pear-shaped body as you say, it might be more flattering.
Normally I don't like strapless dresses because they've become so ubiquitous, but I do like the Romona Keveza better. I think it will be much more likely to work for your body, also honestly it seems like the Scarlet has been done to death; I feel like I've seen it a million times. The Romona is really lovely; definitely go try it on so we can see how it looks on you! :)
I wore that Romona Keveza for our reception, I love that dress so much!
Personally, I love the first one! But I'm sure you'll look great in whatever you choose!
Objectively speaking, I like #2 better. Its hard to tell without seeing them on you though - have you tried either one on yet? The second might be better if you're worried about your pear shape - but you also might find the first one shows off your figure more.
The Romona Keveza -- it's gorgeous! Would love to compare what they look like on you. The modified aline shape of the RK tends to be more flattering with a pear shape. Also Scarlett has been seen and then seen again x10 (but if you absolutely love it, I say go for it anyway!).
I'm going to go against the crowd and say that I love love love the Lhullier! That was one of the desses I had in mind before I actually started trying on dresses. Its so simple and classic and romantic! It looks so old world to me, I just love it!
We really need to see you in them though to really get the full picture though :)
Thanks everyone! I guess I lot a little ahead of myself and will be trying them on next weekend. I can't wait!
I do love the Scarlett but my wedding is the one day I don't want to have to worry about curves or lumps or sucking in. I'm a size 4, but this dress might make me look bigger.
Until next weekend...
oooo I love them both but I think I lke the second one a little bit more! Both great choices though! :)
I like #2 better. Scarlet is pretty, and it was my favorite for a while, but I'm also pear shaped, and need to highlight my waist to not look much bigger than I am. I found that the cutout in Scarlet made me look broad from the back, because it took away from the curve of my waist in the back. The Romona is very classic looking and probably more flattering.

Okay, so I'm not getting married until next summer, but I have somewhat of a dilemma because there is only one bridal salon near where I live that carries each of these designers and dresses. They both have them in now (one is coming in a trunk show) but I don't want to miss out buying them. I want to wear a mantilla veil wiht both:
#1. Monique's classic Scarlett. I just love this dress. THe only problem is I am somewhat of a pear and I'm worried about the shape. Sometimes it doesn't look to mermaid and sometimes it does. It is so beautiful.
2. Romona Keveza's Legend 195- I think this dress is exquisite
