I love that I am getting married in the age where websites like this exist!! I am semi-obsessed with the beehive posts since I have been engaged. I found cool people who got married at my same venue that helped me with nerves and questions I had….I gained confidence in my decision on DIY bridal makeup and got great makeup tips. I also learned about tea dying my mismatched veil, which I didnt end up doing but it made me realize I liked the color of my mismatched veil after trying the dye on a sample. Everyone close to me seems to have an opinion so I love coming on here as a confidence boost sometimes to reaffirm that my decision was the right decision!

Wedding bee helped me decide which dress to choose and set my mind at rest that I had made the right decision!

I think a lot of times, the Bee helped me make decisions by helping me realize what I DIDN’T want to do. Haha I would pose a question to the Hive and everyone would tell me to do Option B, which would make me realize that I really didn’t want to do Option B after all so I’d go with Option A even though they told me not to 😛 Hey, if it helped me figure out what I want, then it’s good, right?
I did get some really helpful tips on making a homemade corsage and bout for my MIL and her husband. I wanted to work in some Army elements to capture my DH’s service, and got some great suggestions on fabric flowers made from ACUs, etc. I loooooved how the corsage and bout turned out in the end, so big thanks to the Bee on that one!

I would say perspective.
I haven’t been to all that many weddings and so I appreciate the wedding planning perspective. I probably watch Four Weddings for the same reason.
I have also gained relationship perspective, reading other people’s situations and reading/thinking about how I would feel, how I would respond, what I want to make sure that I do or don’t have in my own relationship.
Mostly bee is just a pleasant distraction when I have some free time.

Weddingbee is how I ended up with moissanite. I couldn’t be more pleased with my ring. We really got the best ring for the amount of money we had.

I like hearing the perspectives of other brides-to-be and bridal alumna. There’s more variation here than in my group of friends, and most of my friends are not in the same stage of engagement as I am. It’s very fun!

I’ve never been involved in a wedding, nor am I close to many people who have been married in my lifetime. It’s helped me know exactly what goes into this wedding thing 😉 plus, I’m going an unconventional route, which many Bees do, as well. It’s helped me cut the budget nicely and know how to stear my wedding planning to suit me 🙂
And! I’ve found someone from the area where we want our domestic destination wedding. The advice has been incredible!
Also, while waiting for the actual ring (yes, my SO is in on all the wedding planning… he’s helping!), the waiting Bees have been a fantastic support group 😉
