If you really like heels, why not wear them? Is it really such a big deal if you are the same height a tad taller than your FI? I hardly think anyone will notice if you are 2" shorter or an inch taller 
Same goes for if your dress is like, an inch off the ground. If anything, your dress won't get as dirty... and I promise no one will notice.
Wear heels if you want to!
how about kitten heels? what kind of style are you going for? super blinged out or just really simple yet sophisticated?

I'm chinese and I'm 5'10. With 3 inch heels, I'm over 6 feet tall!! My DH is 5'11 which is great, but still, I wore flats to our wedding. I think personally, if I ended with the "screw it! i'm gonna wear heels mindset," I would have ended up subconsciously hunching my back all day, which would make the pictures look worse, make myself feel more awkward and self conscious. Plus my mom always yells at me for not standing up straight.

I love heels and I love the way I feel in them! Can anyone relate to this? I feel more confident, I feel more attractive, and I sure feel VERY tall! haha! I am 5 ft 8 so with 3 inch heels I'm 5'11". For an asian, that is pretty tall and not many Asian men are tall. Thank goodness my FI is 5'11"
So with that said, I cannot wear heels for my wedding. Number one, my dress is only an inch too long for me. Number two, with the veil and my hair all poofed up, I'm prolly already going to be similar height to my FI.
Can anyone find me some pretty, sexy, comfy wedding shoes that are only at most 1.5 in tall? All the ones I see at the malls are not so pretty at all....HELP~
