On Andrew Sullivan's the Daily Dish they had posted a link to "Awesomely Bad Engagement Photos". http://www.guidespot.com/guides/engagement_photo_funny_wedding Some are a little akward, but not all are bad, and some are actually nice. My favorite is the scene on the street with the Taxi in background.

I agree, some of the other ones are scary though.
I went to college with one of the couples featured in the photos! Crazy!
I'm sorry, the one with her hanging upside down with half her shirt up - really? at least tuck it in!

Oh Lord! Some of those were hilarious! I followed some of the other links- there are awesomely bad wedding ones too (some of them I had seen already here on WB). Most funny, some tragic.
I think the "Here babe, let me help you stretch." would of been cute if her leg would of been down, and he wasn't grabbing it.
The "I ain't saying she's a gold digger." one just makes me laugh.
So, so, so wrong... lol I can't choose one! They're all equally as terrible as the next.
So uh when we took newlywed pictures, our photographer thought it'd be cute to have me "holdimg him" in the palm of my hands. It's a really awkward picture. I should come back and share it. It's just weird as hell!

oh my oh my oh my.. i clicked on the awkward family photos.. and this one.. there are just so many things wrong with this picture.. i just can't believe this..

Some of those were not that bad. The taxi one is actually a great photo! But yes, some were quite silly. :)
@cobalt, yes i've seen the akward family photos link. Some are just.... well, i'm at a loss for words. I guess you should always be sure of what you are scanning or downloading on the internet so your kids dont hate you forever.

My fave is the taxi picture and the abs hold pic... I just wish they showed the guy's head
HAHAHAHAH that family photo!!! WHAT IS THAT?!??! Some people are seriously WEIRD! Why would you do that to your little kids?!?!
omg....seriously....some are really shot by professional photographers.....I recognize one of the logo on photo....thank goodness I read this posting....
Those were pretty good.
Our e-photographer tried to take a picture of us in the back of a cab. He was in the front. His choice of a fisheye lense was poorly executed. I was in the middle so my head got shrunken compared to everything else. And my fiance, who already has a very big head, had his head enlarged by the angle. His blown up head wound up being more than twice the size of my shrunken one in the picture.
The result was hilarious. Thankfully most of our other pictures turned out much better!

The one with the ice cream cone made me laugh outloud! Her face is SO FUNNY!
We actually thought about doing a cheesy pose like the one of the couple staring into the distance, except we wanted to wear matching shirts & have that classic cheesy couple post where the mans hand is on the womens shoulder and they are both looking into the distance, but then we weren't sure if anyone would get our humor and they might think it was real, so we opted not to.
The captions on those were hysterical...especially the one on the bridge that said "this just doesn't look safe."
Love it! I hope none of mine (if I get them, fiance hates having his picture taken) end up looking like that!

Oh man. Our photographer is a dear friend of mine... I'm passing these along. She's going to DIE.
I will bring this to our photog if/when we decide to do engagement shots as a "what NOT to do" guide.
Geez.
I swear. I actually hate shots where a photog has you do something silly you do not do in real life like walk around in heels carrying balloons or looming around in alleyways giving smoldering looks to my guy. Or riding carousels kissing each other.
I just don't do this stuff irl. I don't.
oh my gosh! Those were definitely awesomely bad. Can you imagine what some of those couples are thinking when they see their e-pic on an article like that? I would DIE! They're thinking their photos are so cute! yipes!
