Just wanted to say – I love the new layout! I think it’s great, is so much more functional and clean. To those of you who are so traumatized by it and want to leave because of it – bye! Sorry technology updates are too hard to handle! But please – stop posting complaints about it. It’s like everytime Facebook changes – pepole freak out, then get over it, and then soon enough they are wondering how they ever lived without it. Good work WB team!!

JrzyGurl: I doubt anyone will leave over this update. I find most of the changes frustrating. I wish they would have worked out more bugs before they rolled it out.

Birdi: +1 I wish more of the bugs had been worked out.
I’m already getting used to the changes though- I was just a bit shocked at first. I do find the mobile site harder to use than before but I like the way it works on my laptop! I’m happy they are working on making it more mobile friendly 🙂
I always hated the Facebook changes at first but I always got used to them! I am also getting a bit sick of seeing all the complaint posts.

I really like this update too! There are a few things I would like tweaked, and they have already done a bunch of those. I know it took a lot of work, and I hope they know we appreciate it.

MrsBeck: Yes the mobile site is not user friendly! Sucks because when work gets boring I usually come here. I can’t use my PC because they monitor everything.

Birdi: unfortunately most of my time on the Bee is on my mobile and I don’t visit the site quite as often on my phone now. I’m hoping they will continue to improve the mobile features though! My work day is a little bit more boring now…

woahhhhhh I just signed on since they did the changes and woahhhhhh lol – I’ve only been on for like 2 minutes, but I can tell already that there are a lot of really awesome features now and I think it’s cleaner/more efficient – definitely like the updates penguin posted that they’re still planning to roll out (like moving the related posts under the comment box, highlighting the OP’s posts, highlighting the posts based on member numbers) – people have been asking for a “like”-type button for a really long time and it’s finally here! i’m really excited about it lol i do agree that the white background is a bit bright and i hope they fix that. either way, i agree that this is much like whenever facebook changes and everyone freaks out and then they get used to it and stop complaining and forget how the old FB even was. i hate when people freak out over a little change, it’s really annoying lol.. get over it, get used to it and move on!

I think it’s safe to say you are in the minority here.

Rubbs: My thoughts exactly…..just the fact we are commenting on a two week old post speaks volumes. I’m betting its about 99% who dislike it, 1% who feel like the OP.

JrzyGurl: I’m pretty sure that you can tell which way most threads are going by the title. If you know you won’t like it, I suggest you don’t open it. That way other Bees get a chance to vent, and you don’t have to be annoyed by that venting.

There’s function… Unless you want to know what section a thread is in, or try to use the phone version of the site, or see the OP’s posts…
once they get the bugs ironed out, that will help and us grumpy folks might get used to it. Considering how many bugs there were (and still are) I’m truly surprised they 100% rolled it out.

I definitely prefer how this looks compared to the old one… there’s some bugs to be worked out but once they’re fixed I think it will be great!

I like how the new site looks too. Much fresher and cleaner.
But I do take issue at the suggestion that anyone expressing problems with the new update should basically just take off. That’s just rude and unhelpful.
Any major website overhauls will need bedding in. There will be glitches and actually, if people don’t make the site admin aware of them then they may not get fixed as quickly. I’m not suggesting a whingefest here but constructive comments about function will improve the site. If everyone assumes that they only have two options – Like it or Sod Off – then that’s ridiculous and not at all constructive.
