I don’t understand, why aren’t they suitable? Did they not like any?

We had a lot of shots missing.  I’d ask your guests too.  Maybe they caught one.  Good luck.

Oh no!!! We missed a lot of shots of our extended families as well. My mom was super duper sad/pissed. 🙁

I hope a guest got a good shot for you! My grandmother-in-law threw a fit and didn’t pose for portraits with us. What kind of shots would on the family wall?

Do you mean you didn’t get the shot taken of the group you want?

I usually work in this order :

Brides whole family

Brides nuclear family

Grooms who family

Grooms nuclear family

It’s up to the couple if they want parent shots ( if they do, I do them ).

The wedding party + guys/girls seperate if requested.

The couple at the end.

For future brides ,   it’s always good to start with your largest groups FIRST and let people go.    Things move faster taking people away than adding people in.

I recommend discussing the groups shots you want in advance.   We really don’t need a list for anything else,   but for the groups,   it’s good to know what order to do things in ( and you can let family know this in advance too ).

I’m a little confused. You mean there are no photos with the right members of your family (like others have said), or you just don’t have any traditional poses of you and your husband like they wanted/expected? Perhaps you can crop something more artsy into something more “typical” for the wall?

I think your pics were great!  Not sure what cuts the mustard to get onto the wall o’ fame, but think you’re both fame worthy as is according to what I saw.

What were they missing? Get dressed up and do it again. 😉 I’m sure you can find something, though…

If you are looking for one of just the two of you, think editing. A freind of mine had the same problem, they talked tot he photographer and he photoshopped her family out of a group shot so they could have a proper full body couple shot they loved and you can’T tell it was not taken as it looks now.

Do you have a group photo from the rehearsal dinner? That may work.
