Love birds, love knots? Those are love related but not too over the top…Love your colors!

I think it will be hard to pull of that theme with out it looking to valentines like you mentioned. I imagine hearts and flowers on the paper goods, maybe love quotes? a different love quote on each favor?

The colors themselves might be enough to show your theme, after all it is a wedding! Maybe make a love sign for your headtable and that would be enough.

aren’t weddings love themed by nature? I second the PP about something along the lines of love birds or love knots or something…

If you wanted something non-cheesy you could look into love bird or love knots (I’m thinking celtic) like PPs mentioned. If you dislike birds (or trendy things) you could look up which other animals mate for life (I know there are a few).

Also, if you wanted something love related, but not overused you could use the section on love in The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran (my mom introduced me to this book years ago):

@belle2014:  Deep purple reminds me of romance novels. Maybe go with that kind of theme??

I don’t think you’re going to have to really do much of anything extra to pull this off, OP. Easy theme! Your paper goods could be one of the sets with hearts – plenty of those in wedding stationary – and you could incorporate hearts into your decor – also plenty of ideas in wedding decor. They don’t need to be hot pink; you should be able to find someone to go with your color scheme wiht no problem. Light grey lovebirds, as PP suggests, would also be cute and fit your colors perfectly. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen those in wedding stuff, as well. As with any theme, the key is to keep it in touches instead of going over the top.

P.S. Those bridesmaid dresses are super pretty. I might actually wear that again were I one of your girls.

Isn’t love the theme of all weddings?

@belle2014:  What about some quotes by/about famous lovers?  Like Cleopatra and Mark Anthony or even from fiction like Romeo and Juliet (they did die, but they loved each other so!).  Also what about love in different languages as table #s? Or a picture collage of the two of you in the shape of a heart? Two or three special romantically named signature cocktails. You could also have the “courting” ceremonies from different cultures as table themes/decorations.

It’s a wedding…the theme is already love.
