I came across this wedding today on one of my favorite blogs and totally love the flowers - I'm hoping someone can help me identify them! I know I should know what they're called but I can't come up with it.

I've been searching, and I can't figure it out either. Beautiful flowers! The fluffiness kind of reminds me of goldenrods. I'll let you know if I eventually find it.

This was a total "duh" moment for me...my dad has these all over his yard. I guess I didn't really think of things that would be common. The bouquets look so exotic.

Y'all are the best! I can't believe I couldn't come up with that - my aunt had them in her garden when I was growing up. I wonder if I can get her to grow some for me Love these - don't know what they are! : wedding Icon Biggrin

On a side note check out how astilbe looks with other flowers in a bouquet... so romantic... this picture is the inspiration for my bouquet...

They are ASTIBLES... you are correct

We went to the wholesaler this week to look at blooms that are available this time of year in Flrodai ....so we can prepare for next year.

They hold up beautifully. We bought a bunch of pink and placed in one of three small vases for our centerpieces. The other vases held roses and one huge pink hydragena.... simple elegance.
