Personally, I will always think Tiffany is a rip off for the material that you get, and I’m sure you can get something very similar for less.  But that’s cause I’m not into Tiffany and see jewlery more as raw material.  Then on the other hand, I love Gucci and I’m sure that piece of leather my purse is made of isnt worth almost 2k.  If you LOVE it and can afford to splurge on it, go for it!

Can you afford it? Are you/should you be saving money for something else? I’m sure you can get a virtually identical ring somewhere else (it’s not a difficult design), but if you have the money available then why not?

.2 ct for $2,050? I wouldn’t spend that much. I’m sure you can achieve the same look for a much more reasonable price.

Blue Nile has some similar to that for half the price. If you are looking for a cost savings, you may find one there.

Well it depends on what you can afford. Keep in mind you are paying for more than a name. People post all. the. time. on here about their small stones falling out, that will likely never happen with a T&C ring.

My e ring, and our wedding bands will all be from T&C- the “markup” is worth it to us for the quality and the customer service. We’re happy to pay more for peace of mind- but only you can decide if its worth it to you!

What’s the difference between this and any other pave ring? Is it worth an extra 1,000$?

ehhhhh, unless the fact that it’s a Tiffany is important, I feel like that’s kind of “meh” for the cost. I mean, it costs almost as much as my engagement ring (for what it’s worth, I have a lifetime guarantee on my ring, prongs, etc etc, and great customer service/quality without the name markup)

mrstattoo10816:   the ring is beautiful, bit with that being said I always look at the $$$ aspect of any buy. I’m this situation I’ll break it down in my thought process as if it was me insteada you. It would be like this: I luv this ring, but $2Gs is crazy. I’m prob mostly paying for the name. Who’s going to even know it’s a tiffany ring? More then likely no one since its only written inside the ring. So that parts not worth paying extra for. The ct weight certainly isn’t worth $2gs either. You could find something extremely similar & either get 1 for less then half the cost or buy 2 or 3 at the lesser cost and stack them for roughly the same price as 1 tiffany ring.   I would definitely shop around. Take the photo of that ring everywhere with you and see if the sales reps can find something close for a better price. Hell you may even find something similar that you like better and for a cheaper cost. Personally I can’t buy something and pay crazy prices just for a name. Especially a name no one can see and would have no way of knowing unless you tell them. What would you do stop every single person take it off to show them it’s a tiffany just to make it worth the extra $? I think you sound like you would be happier without paying for a name on a similar less expensive ring of even craftsmanship & look! 🙂

If having the brand is important and if you can afford it, then go for it. If the design and craftsmanship are drawing you to T&Co, you can find those elsewhere for less.

Go into a jeweler you trust (and of high quality), show them this, and I guarantee you can get the exact same band (18k gold, quality diamonds) for less. It could still be pricey at a nice jeweler but Tiffany’s is just insane for what you get versus the cost. From experience with splurging on a band as well, it’s worth it to save even a little bit of $$ if you know you can get the exact same thing elsewhere. Love that band btw, yellow gold is my favorite.

I think that if it matters if it’s from Tiffany’s and you can afford it then you should get it… but it’s not a unique ring so you could definitely find a very similar ring somewhere else for a lower price (:

You could have a replica created custom for you by a jeweler, I think you might be able to get the exact same look and a lower price tag, or they may be able to find you something that already exists that’s an exact twin to this ring 🙂

Soon2BeMrsS:  The difference is VS diamonds of VG-EX cut F/G color in 18k and SI2-I1 Good cut H/I in 14k that is kind of a lot to be changing for a ring.  I dont want to sound snotty but the quality is way different.

Personally I would say get the same quality at least! You may be able to find it with a local store but dont try custom at a chain store.

I went to Jared’s to see about getting a custom bracelet knock off of the tiffany “diamond by the yard” it would have only ended up saving me $200… and I dont think the diamonds were as nice (to my eyes).
