Has anyone else seen this/done this/considered it?? I am DEF going to do this, it's just a matter of what color :)

@krissycake - SO cute! Was that your "something blue"?
I think that's so adorable! I would definitely consider it if I was going to be wearing a crinoline!
I would, but their dresses are very dark brown lol. I was thinking of making that my something blue instead of my shoes. I was thinking brightly colored shoes and crinoline might be too much... unless I do the same color??? I'm just IN LOVE.
@krissycake I LOVE it. I love how it just peeks out from underneath. Adorable!!
@mattel: i love that too!!! but I don't think I'm wearing crinoline :( i am hoping for a flatter dress...
@tiger and pearl - yes! I had blue crinoline and blue shoes =)
I blogged about it here, for anyone interested!!
Annndd...I actually am planning a TTD and just dyed my crinoline purple for that!
great tutorial krissy... really makes me say hmmmmm since one of our colors is a cool slate blue color.... i cannot wait to get my dress in to see if the dress is poofy enough, but i've read reviews that it won't need it c'est la vie.. this is definitely crebre-able :D
I love a splash of unexpected color! I wish I could pull of this bride's look:
I love the colored crinoline idea! Unfortunately, we'll be in the hottest part of the state for our possibly outdoor wedding... ughhh tulle sticking to legs = not good!
I want to do this but I can't sort out how to do the dyeing in a front loading washing machine. Anybody know?
im using the different color petticoat ... i think it look so playful
I have never seen this before - how clever, I think it looks really stunning.....
aw.i would love to join you on this..but can i do it with a trumpet dress? i would love to make the bottom part puffier..
I'm doing it! Either red, or i'm going to edge the crinoline in black satin ribbon.
I have to do this! Even my FH loves this idea. I will do it in blue so that it can match our wedding colors and serve as my something blue.
elliemae - You can get a crinoline especially made for mermaid/trumpet gowns. Usually a trumpet gown looks better with one because it keeps the bottom poofed out nicely.
I originally didn't want a crinoline on mine, but am now toying with the idea of getting a not-so-full one just so I can dye it!
I've never seen this before, I love it! How very cute and colorful!
@ejoyb: I have a front load and I am going to put it in the bleach dispenser. Hopefully that will work.
I just checked the RIT dye site, and it looks like they also have the dye in a powder, so depending on what color you are looking for, if you have a front loading machine, you might try the powder, instead of the liquid.
Yup, it adds a lot of fun to the dress. It wouldn't work with mine though! lol. I love that image of the short dress and multiple colors! THAT'S fun!
I dyed my crinny purple. Here is the link to my blog.

I am probably the most excited to show FI this the day of the wedding.
This bride was featured on a bunch of wedding blogs sometime ago. So bright and happy!

Wow that's sooo pretty. But I think I'm too attached to the shoes I have in mind. And I wouldn't want to take away from those. :D
I love it, though it looks like I'm going to have to DIY on this one.
I saw a bride recently who had it and it looked so gorgeous.
oooooh! That looks fun. You have to have the right dress to do it though.
I really really love this look! I am seriously considering it, although I don't know if I'll be wearing a crinoline under my dress.
OHMYGOSH this is the best thing I've seen today, hands down.
I just found "the dress" last night and it's not the kind that would look good with colored crinoline :(
thank you JoJo..im going to get my dress tomorrow and i will ask the salon if they have crinolines..
i love this idea! does anyone know if this would look good with a trumpet/fit and flare dress? Like for this dress : http://64.90.162.155/efc/manufcols/allure/bridal2008fall/zoom/W204F.jpg
I bet it would it would stunning with your dress. I think it would look awesome with any dress that had a crinoline!!!
i am doing a dyed crinoline thanks to that first picture of the purple crinnie. my colors are light purple and ivory. i can't wait to try it, and if it doesn't turn out, not a big loss. i only paid $20 for my crinoline off craigslist :)
Thanks Mattel! Im going to do it :) My crinoline will be aqua. so excited!
I love Love LOVE this idea but I just don't know if it would take away from my fuschia shoes! Pink crinoline and pink shoes????
Girls who had died crinoline and matching shoes can I see picks of you in your dress where I can see the coloured crinoline and shoes?
I just did this last night! I dyed myn blue. and i'm wearing Zebra print shoes... i thought about it for a little bit if it would be too much.. but then is said what the heck.. its my day and noone is going to tell me it was too much.. so i dont care!!
Personally I think it's very tacky...sorry girls. Just looks a bit burlesque for me...
Ooo, I might try this with a cheap crinoline (and not the one I bought). That was if I feel too burlesque I always have my white one!
