I did low carb for about 6 months and went down 45 ilbs if I had cut out carbs completely I’d lost like 80 but I was weak 😛

Snacks for me are cheese sticks (low fat motza) pork rines (yes bad, but yummy!) I had alot of veggies that were high in carbs im cuban so I had yuca alot which I love with mojo sauce and I also did not eliminate fruits love mangos I worked out alot but it worked out try turkey burger i love it and good luck! i’ll be starting this again next year for my dec wedding hee

Just eliminate the bread. It’s often not needed – I usually just eat the cheese and pickles wrapped around turkey breast instead of having a sandwich. Or I have sliced tomato & mozza cheese instead of a tomato sandwich. Another idea is to use lettuce as your bread.

High protein! It’ll keep you feeling fuller longer.

Another way to cut down on carbs is to not snack on them – instead snack on fruit and veggies. Figure out the recommended daily intake of carbs you should eat and then eat accordingly. Measure your rice and pasta out BEFORE you cook them. Also, elminate all white carbs & make the switch to whole-wheat. SO much better and trust me, there’s really not that much of a difference…when I ate pasta (I’ve been no-to-low carbs for 5 months now) I just cooked the whole wheat a bit longer.

i am too on a low carb diet and although i am not a huge fan of the food i see MAJOR results! scrambled eggs with the turkey bacon, some meats, string cheese, slim jims are like all i eat! oh and Jello! it is a great diet for results and i feel so much better when i am on it too! its funny though, if you go to a friends house or dinner and splurge some carbs you will feel a carb attack! best of luck!

and if you are going to eat carbs, make sure that what you are about to eat has more protein in it then carbs! protein is a huge help!

It’s really hard–honestly, when i go low carb, i cut out all the white carbs and I don’t do carbs for dinner. I just do whole grains for breakfast and lunch, but not after 1pm! I just can’t do it–i get too sluggish and lazy.

I eat a paleo diet (no carbs, refined sugar, dairy).  It’s hard at first, so I started slow and built up an arsenal of recipes before I fully switched.

Gosh, I’m such a carb queen. I know I need to do a low carb. I did South Beach when it first came out and lost 20 pounds in a month but I was a bitch! I was having dreams about fruit!!!

I read the whole South Beach book and one of the most helpful tips was to let you food be the “vehicle.”  For example, don’t use a chip or pita bread to get the hummus to your mouth, use a veggie.  And don’t cut out fruits and veggies as carbs…they are too good for you and almost all veggies and some fruits are very low cal too!

My fav snacks are peppers with laughing cow cheese or hummus, low fat string cheese, and almonds.

@JaneyD: I did South Beach years and years ago when it made you cut out fruit for like 2 weeks. I seriously had a dream about falling into a giant bowl of grapes and having to eat my way out. lol
