Do you have a picture? I bet the contrast is really beautiful. To me, there is something organic about diamonds with warmth, its hard for me to describe…its like natural, pure beauty. AND, as long as you love it, it really doesnt matter what people think.

I think it would depend on the setting.  That combo could definitely look really good.

I’d have to see a photo. If you love it, then why not?

@cbj9:  Post pics, your ring sounds lovely.

I actually like warmer diamonds and I think having the halo in a colorless grade would make the centre stone stand out.

This isn’t mine but it’s an L diamond with E-F melee.

Mine’s an M — I had a really hard time deciding on a wedding band because I really wanted a diamond wedding band but the contrast drove me nuts. I think for me it would really depend on the individual stone and setting. Sometimes mine looks *so* white and I can’t tell any difference between it and my wedding band, and sometimes it is really colored.

@cbj9:  I think they are beautiful! Personally, I love halos with a contrasting centre stone, otherwise I think the halo starts to look too undefined and messy. Good choice 🙂

@Ms_Midori:  That is gorgeous!

@cbj9:  pretty! I was going to suggest setting the center stone in rose or yellow gold to set off the contrast a bit more and make it look intentional but that’s lovely as is!! 🙂

@cbj9:  I love that! Yours looks great with the halo in whiter stones.. I love that it brings out the color.    I love low grade color stones!  L, M, N… just so beautiful..

I think it’ll look lovely!  I have an I stone (EGL USA graded so prolly more like an J-K) however it faces up white.  My halo stones I think are E-H or something like that.

@cbj9:  Your nails are not awful! If my nails looked like that without polish on, I’d never wear any polish! My nails and cuticles are just horrible. haha

Your ring looks absolutely wonderful as is! I actually had recently made a thread similar to this, asking about different stone colors with different side stone colors.

@cbj9:  That’s so pretty! I love lower centers with high colored halos. The contract to me is very appealing. Also, I’m a huge fan of warm, buttery diamonds and M is usually perfect!
