@Giraffelover:  I think we’re somewhere between casual and fancy by your definitions.  I like that fancy involves makeup though lol.

We’re doing a couples massage, we skipped it on the honeymoon but have talked about doing it ever since.  Then maybe a movie and dinner?  Nothing big 🙂

@Giraffelover:  We’re going to a beer festival with unlimited tastings – cheaper than a dinner out and let’s face it, WAY more enjoyable for us both!

@Giraffelover:  We are getting a private hot tub at a local japanese spa. We’re getting sushi afterwards! (dressy casual)

So… the inbetween of the two 🙂

@Giraffelover:  The first few years we did casual (BBQ or staying home and having a yummy dinner in). The last 2-3 years we have gone to really nice restaurants and got spiffed up. I vastly prefer that! haha. Last year we went to Color Me Mine and then out to a fancy dinner. Some casual, some fancy.

We are going skiing with some friends that weekend, so our actual Valentine’s Day (the 14th) will primarily be spent in the car…sitting in traffic. Romantic, huh?

Hopefully we can at least get a nice dinner when we get there!

Our agenda calls for pizza, and binge watching season 2 of House of Cards.  At least, I’m thinking pizza.  My wife may think otherwise.

My SO doesn’t really “get” Valentines Day, but he’ll humor me with flowers and a low key dinner out. We’re actually going to a Mardi Gras ball the day after V-Day, so that will probably be more exciting than our Valentines date.

DH and I have a deal this year that we are going to do presents (probably this week and not near vday) and then act like it doesnt even exist. Lol. I hate going out on Vday. Its crowded and you.wait forever even with a reservation, and the entire time your eatting people at the door stare at you and try to make you eat faster and leave. No thanks. I prefer to enjoy our nights out. So we agreed if we buy presents we will ignore it and go out to dinner at the end of the month hahaha!

I really dislike going OUT on v-day. It’s so crowded and the service sucks. We will probably go to our hole in the wall mexican place for some BRC’s and potato tacos! Yummm!

Either staying in with takeout or going to our fav low key restaurant in jeans. I feel like V-Day puts pressure on SO to do something big and go all out with roses etc. I am not into roses and wouldn’t mind staying in with him and vegging on the couch. It’s even on a Friday this year so we may even hang out with friends after dinner.

We haven’t decided! The first three options are equally likely, though the 4th isn’t out of the realm of possibility because it’s our first married VDay so it’s a little bit special.

I’m leaning towards cheap take-out (or a favorite restuarant to-go order) at home. VDay on a Friday makes me expect the sit-downs to be extremely packed. And we freaking love takeout.

Edit: I also just bought an unopened chocolate fondue fountain at my thrift store for $9, I want to try that sucker out!
