I’m going with over the bun. I’m working on the logic that a comb facing down is going to hold stronger than one facing up and my veil is HEAVY.

Personally I plan on having a low up do and wearing a veil under my bun. This is because I want to have a very intricate and beautiful bun done and I don’t want to hide it with the veil.

I plan on having my tiered veil over my bun since I want to cover my face. I think for the reception I will move it under.

It seems to me that if you have and plan on covering the face with the veil goes on top and if not they go under.

From what I can tell, my hair was just like the one in your photos. I did mine over, it wasn’t directly over the bun though like your photos.  My hair dresser teased my hair so I had a little bump on the back of my head to support the veil. I just took it out after the ceremony, if you were taller than me you could see the spot where my veil was but eh, no biggie. Another option for you 🙂

Mine’s going to go over whatever hairstyle I end up with — I want one tier over my face, and something about veils going under the hairstyle irks me.

I had my veil over. I prefer that look

I’m only wearing my veil for the ceremony, so my plan right now is to do a low bun with the veil over, and then replace it with a comb that will show off my hair for the rest of the night. All of that pending the trial, of course.

@MrsNerdy:  i went with over the bun. only because if it got stepped on (i had a cathedral) i didn’t want it to pull out of my hair AND because i was taking it out during the reception. i figured it’d be alot easier to take off if it was on top 🙂

I love the way it looks underneath the bun! I haven’t decided how I’m going to wear my hair but I know either way I want my veil to be underneath whatever design or style I decide on so you can see the cool hair style in the photos.

No offense to anyone, but  I can’t stand the veil under the bun as if it was coming out of your hair-do. I’m doing a low bun and wearing my veil over it, I just like the look so much better that way.

I plan on wearing mine under my hair too with a large flower in my hair. I don’t want to hide the beautiful hair I will be having done. I’m still debating if I will wear the veil at the reception though. Here is my inspiration:

I plan to wear mine over as I want to wear the attached blusher in front of my face as I walk down the aisle.

I wore mine over. I figured there would be less chance of having my hair getting messed up when I took it out.
