mexicalijennie: Casablanca and Maggie both have dresses WAY under $2500. My Casablanca dress was $1250, so nowhere near your budget. Honestly, I think you need to wait for your mom to come, especially if she is coming down just for that reason. I understand the appeal of a trunk show and discounts, but I don’t think you’ll have trouble finding one of those designers for under $2500 at all. Imagine how disappointed she would be if you called and told her you found your dress without her.

mexicalijennie:  yeah I think trying on the dresses at the trunk show is a good idea. Just make sure you take lots of pics for mom.

And was the trunk show this weekend that just past? Did you find something you liked?

mexicalijennie:  yeah it’s usually a 10-15% discount on trunk shows. You should definitely check out multiple stores because every one of them has something different at the store for you to try on. I went to approximately 10 of them. And if the consultant suggests to try something on, you definitely should. I went with a completely different style than what I wanted because the consultant suggested I try something different since I wasnt finding the right gown in the style I was looking for. So have an open mind. 🙂
