Hey lady! I'm not sure how big the heart containers are, but I came across this handy candy formula and calculator, based on the popular 2"x2" favor box. It even tells you approximate counts per pound. I hope this helps! :o)

I'm doing alright! The weather's been pretty wacky here lately... in the 50s/60s! I guess I really can't complain. It'll be lovely in April, though... I promise! :o)

Heres the link to the heart tins...it says they're 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 so thats not much different...just one or two more M&Ms than the 2x2!!

Aww thanks Yorkie! Ok maybe I should get the 5 pound box! That calculator said that about 90 M&Ms can fit into a 2x2 box and with 85 containers it said I would need 15 lbs!! Ok maybe we only put in 30 M&Ms!

My favors are jewelry boxes (~2x3). They have the fiber filler and I'm putting tissue on top of it... With all of that space taken, I still have to put 1 ounce of m&ms per box. My suggestion for you is to buy a big bag of m&ms and weigh how much you actually need per favor. 5 pounds of m&ms on their website is more expensive than buying the 7 oz bags at Michaels (using the 40% off coupons). I am a frequent michaels shopper, so I'm used to going there EVERY week! :) I also like to save money, so don't listen to me if $ is no object and you don't want to learn which clerks are fast/slow at michaels (or wherever you found them :)).
lol!! yeah I like Michaels too! But were getting the custom M&Ms...they are expensive but we really want them!!! Who doesnt love to save money! I might just get a bag at Michaels to test fill them!

We're buying the personalized team M&M favors from the M&M site but Im not sure how much to go with. We have about 80-85 guests and I bought cute little heart containers to put them in. I want every guest to get one...not the couple...each guest. I was thinking of getting a bunch of the 7 oz bags but it seems like it would just be easy and cheaper to just get the 5 lb box! What do you think hive?
