that's a great suggestion/idea.
My wedding is at the doubletree in berkeley and this would actually be perfect for me and my gals.
Get a trial first and make sure that person will be there!! Some MAC artists go really heavy (think drag) and some are great.
I went to MAC to get my makeup done for my engagement pictures. I told them a few days in advance what I wanted and did a trial. On the day of my shoot, they did my makeup and I was ready about 2 hours before I needed to be at the shoot. The pics came out great.
I love MAC and have used their stuff for years. We have a MAC boutique and 3 MAC counters here in different parts of city. I like the botique as I didn't have a bunch of shoppers gawking.
When I was looking into getting makeup for my engagement sessions, the boutique charges $50 per application (I was quoted in summer 2007) while the department store counters don't charge anything, but may prefer a purchase.
I recently went just the other day to the MAC in Berkeley. I have a friend who works there. He's totally awesome (and very gay), if that doesn't bother you.
I can give you his name...if you're interested, and he'll doll you up with what you'd like...(or he'll even make suggestions!)
He didn't charge me a thing...to do a COMPLETE Make-Over! But you gotta BOOK the appointment by calling. He's VERY busy and takes appointments only. I'm Chinese and man...he was able to really make my eyes BEAUTIFUL!!! (He did my eyes in a way I never thought of even ever doing!
thanks for the response! Lina, I am blocking my rooms at the Doubletree, when are you getting married? I am 8/2/08 -- the wedding is in Oakland. I'll call to get more specific info (and try out BabeMuneca's friend!)

I have seen others write about getting your wedding day makeup done at a MAC counter (like Mrs. Lemon) but has anyone had it done at a MAC boutique? Is it different? Can I set up appointments for everyone (5 people)? How much does it cost? I guess I could just call and ask, but here I am.
I am specifically thinking of going to the MAC on Fourth Street in Berkeley, CA - if anyone has any very specific experience/advice.
thanks, ladies
