@wrkbrk:  you can’t transfer songs from your iPad. Do you have an external hard drive? If so you can move your files there then transfer them to your new computer. You can also connect via Bluetooth but that way takes forrreeevvveeerrrso I recommend the hard drive method.

Whenever I get a new Mac, I have the Apple store transfer everything over from the old one. Are you able to take it back to the store and have them do it for you?

Depending on how many songs you have, I would either try an external hard drive or the application Senuti.

@wrkbrk:  go to finder –> then choose music –> iTunes library –> then drag all those files to your external when it’s connected to your old computer. Hook ext HD up to new computer and drag files into iTunes library.

There are a lot of tutorials if you google it.

If you happen to have all of your music on your iphone, you can also you a program like Senuti to transfer the music to your new computer.

@wrkbrk:  Use a flash drive– you should be able to drag your files from Itunes on to the flash drive, then drag them from flash to new computer!
