It certainly can, but it’s best to take any herbs in combination prescription to deal with all of your health issues. They won’t work as efffectively on their own. I recommend seeing an herbologist, acupuncturist or oriental medicine practitioner who can write you a prescription to suit your specific needs. This way, you’ll have much better results!

Maca Root is actually a root vegetable. Similar to radish or turnip. Small studies have been completed w/ men so I supplemented my DH diet w/ daily pills. He has some motility issues so I added maca root hoping that it will help. We’ll know in two weeks if it did:)
Check out NaturallyKnockedup.com. She’s a herbalist student who provides insight on various herbs, fertility foods, etc for TTC. I also follow her on FB.

You are getting great advice from the previous posters. Both my husband and I take it, neither of us have any side effects. I’m not sure if it’s helping, it’s our first cycle taking it. The girl at the Vitamin Shoppe near me takes it for fertility as well.

@lilsweetie: I’d say yes, mildly, for both of us. We both had pretty good drives before (TMI lol) but he had made one comment about “feeling pressured” when he had a little trouble one night, which he has not made another comment or had trouble since taking maca.
