Macy's isn't in Canada, so I cant comment on that-but BBB is amazing. Their registry system is great, their prices are fairly competitive and they don't tend to discontinue.
Williams Sonoma also does a reward system if you get their credit card, although it's not quite as generous as Macy's (and obviously the selection of items is more limited).
Macy's did the same thing with my china pattern, so I registered just for china at Bloomingdales. Their reward program is non-existent as far as I can tell (besides the 10% off for registry completion that every store does), so you might have better luck at BB&B.

I'm so frustrated. I just put our registry together a couple weeks ago. Now, Macys' has decided that they no longer want to carry my china (Waterford, Jaipur by Michael Aram).
I am only registering for china, flatware, and a few serving items. There is no point in maining a Macy's registry just for the flatware and the serving pieces (though they were really nice!). So, now I'm thinking of moving over to Bed, Bath & Beyond or Bloomingdale's.
I liked Macy's reward system (you get a percentage of what guests spend on a gift card). Does anyone else have something like it?
