Anyone else have problems with Macy’s bridal registry? I signed up in-store with a registry consultant and opened a credit card account to get the rewards (5% back of total purchases in gift cards after our wedding). Problem is, my shower was this weekend (lots of gifts) and the consultant never linked the credit card account to the rewards account….which means….no rewards. I called Macy’s to complain and find a resolition and the customer service rep was not helpful at all. I requested to retroactively link rewards to the gifts already purchased. The service rep offered to “make the request and see if they’ll do it”. Who is they? Why isn’t the service rep empowered to help? Then when I ask for a timeline on when I’ll get an answer, I essentially get no response and no committment to a timeline for when I might get a resolution. I ask for someone to call me with a resolution and no phone call yet…I called yesterday morning. THEN I go on the Macy’s Facebook page to voice my complaint and they remove the post from thier timeline but leave me a message asking me to email them. I email that address and have not gotten a response. Not even agknowledging they recieved they got the email!
Best part is, I offered to take part in a customer service survey before my initial phone call started and they never called me. Talk about skewing service results. Macy’s has been a staple in my family for generations. I really hope they fix this. Any other brides with rough Macy’s experiences? Any resolutions?
