I went to one. I should have brought a camera b/c it was cute how the put our names on a mirrored wall. The sales people weren't too helpful, but I got to scan on my own and the snacks were tasty.
Oh, that's good to hear. I was a bit worried it was going to be total mayhem if there ends up being a lot of couples there! As long as we can scan on our own and drink some bubbly, I'll be happy! :)
At the one I went to, the "bubbly" was sparkling cider.
Meh.
However, they did have lots of people from various companies there to explain their products (like from Kitchenaid, Wusthoff, AllClad) which helped us make decisions about what products to register for. It's definitely worth going to.
Oh, that is disappointing to hear about the bubbly being cider!
Are you in Pittsburgh? Which one are you going to? We're going to the one at South Hills tomorrow. :)
Oh cool! We're going to the one in Robinson. :) I debated on which one to go to because I think the South Hills one has a better selection. I hope you have a good time!
You too! We live near Canonsburg so South Hills is a bit closer for us.
Yes FI and I went to one last month. It was fun... lots of couples showed up, but nothing overwhelming. They had yummy finger foods and mixed bubbly/fruity drinks. I liked that there were several reps from different companies available to answer any questions. At the end of the night, we got a cute tote bag with a pair of toasting flutes. Very cute. :)
I went to one at the flagship Macy's and had a really good time. We didn't actually SCAN anything, but we certainly sipped (and chowed down on the tasty apps!) and were able to have a lot of our questions about various products answered. We were clueless about different pots & pans, espresso machine, crystal etc, and the company reps who were there were super helpful. Have fun!!
I went to one just a few weeks ago. It was ok. The food was nice and I didn't have t worry about a salesperson staying in my face. I enjoyed it We got free toasting flutes too.

I've been lurking on the boards for a few weeks now, and finally decided to join today!
I'm registered for a sip n scan event at Macy's tomorrow. Has anyone ever gone to one? The flyer said we'd get a free gift certificate and some free beauty samples. Hopefully it will be worth it! :)
