- Wedding: September 2013
So… I had wanted the perfect make-up for my wedding day. Who doesn’t? We were planning our wedding out of state, so I knew if I got a make-up artist, there would be no time for a trial. So I decied to do my own make-up (I’ve had expierence with pagents and things). A beauty guru I love to watch on YouTube gave rave reviews on Dinar. I have eczema on my face, and if you don’t know what that is, I’m jealous. At the time I was even looking for everyday make-up that would cover the eczema without making it worse. So I shelled out what is alot of money to me- $228.00, for an airbrush kit and make-up.
You guys, it flared up my eczema soooo bad! Eczema to me looks like a burn. I went from just a few patches to ALL OVER MY FACE!! But that is not why I’m angry. That was me just experimenting with a new make-up that didn’t work on my perticular skin. I get that.
I then returned it, and was reminded of the 15% restocking fee, and that it would take up to TEN WEEKS to get my refund. OK. That was on the webside, sounded like a long time to me just to process a refund, but it is stated before you purchase.
So fast forward TEN WEEKS, and no refund. So maybe they forgot about me (hey, it has been ten weeks- thats 2 and 1/2 months!) So I email them. Well, it turns out I did get lost in the shuffle of things, no big deal, someone will check on the status and get back with me. Oh, it looks like my refund was just never processed- so they’ll process it. Great. This was durring the wedding planning, and I didn’t contact them again until after the wedding- a month later- I called, talked to a nice girl who said oh, looks like we don’t have your card #, she couldn’t take it then, but someone will call me tomorrow to get my card # and let me know the status.
So, I do get the phone call. A man takes down my card # and I inquire about how long does he think it will take. “Well, ma’am, there is a ten week waiting period…”
“I already waited ten weeks! That was up weeks ago!”
“Oh, well, they didn’t tell me, they just said to get your card number.”
“ok, thank you.” -because it still sounds like it is going in my favor, right? WRONG! It has now been 9 weeks since my ten weeks was up, a total of 19 weeks, I am beginning to memorize the peoples names from the differernt departments at Dinar- I talk to them so much, and it has been one week exactly since I last called asked for the manager, to which I was told, ” he was in a meeting, to which this perticular time I replied “I’ll wait.” “ok, please hold”….”ok, you don’t need to talk to the manager, I just spoke to him for you, he is aware of your situation, and so is speaking with our refunds department (to which them I am well aquainted!) he is having them process your refund as we speak.” Why then a week later are the funds still NOT THERE?!?!
Yes, I will be calling and talking to a manager, but I just felt compelled to let people know first! And no, that wasn’t the first time I have asked to speak to a manager, he or she is always busy, and was reassured that it looked like someone dropped the ball, but this person will take care of this for you.
