Depends on when you ovulate and when your period is truly due. Obviously you will get your period this time around, but next month you may not. I guess it is hard to say at this point.

You should take Plan B if you don’t want to be pregrant right now just in case.

countrygirl12:  If by a few days you mean your period is expected in less than 5 days, you’re probably fine.  If it’s more than 7 days away then there is a chance you might get pregnant.  If you don’t want to take emergency contrception then you will just have to wait it out.

There’s always a chance, but if your menstrual cycle is pretty regular and you are supposed to get your period in a couple days, that chance is very, very small.  You have very likely already ovulated, and if so you aren’t fertile anymore and cannot get pregnant.  Only time will tell, but unless for some reason you ovulated really late this cycle, you most likely are not pregnant.

countrygirl12:  If you are a few days away from your period (under 9) then no it is very unlikely.

I second the Plan B suggestion. I had a whoops with my fiance and just popped over to target and picked it up since it’s not even at the pharmacy counter anymore. no bigs.

countrygirl12:  you generally only have a 20% chance of getting pregnant each month IF you don’t protect yourself during your fertile window. If you are about to get your period, it’s pretty unlikely you could get pregnant unless you have a very very short second phase of your cycle…and really if you had a 3 or 4 day luteal phase it would be difficult to get pregnant in the first place. So depending on what “about to get my period” means, I would venture to say it isn’t a high probability.
