I’ve been quite curious about whether the engagement chicken actually works or if it’s just complete rubbish… so I decided to give it a go last night.
Boyfriend or Best Friend and I have been living together in our amazing new flat for two weeks now, and it’s amazing 😀 One of the benefits is having a kitchen and dining area all to ourselves (no housemates, yay), so I’ve been cooking lots of delicious romantic meals. I figured I might as well try the engagement chicken as well 😉
I had never roasted a chicken before, so I was quite worried if the engagement chicken would turn out to be a disaster. The chicken actually turned out to be delicious 😀 I served it with vegetables and cooked potatoes, and a bottle of wine… and finished with a lovely dessert. And as I had hoped, Boyfriend or Best Friend LOVED it 😀
I am still sceptical as to whether the chicken actually will get me engaged soon, so I guess I will have to wait and see if it worked.

The engagement chicken didn’t work for my friend. BUT … three months later, she heard about and tried the engagement meatloaf and swears that did the trick! So, if it doesn’t come in 3 months, try the engagement meatloaf and see if that works!!

ha I tried making it for an EX and Thank GOD I screwed up the whole meal!! I should mention I’m a vegetarian…so I have no idea how to cook meat. lol. Oddly enough the only person I’ve ever cooked meat for and had it come out good is my fiance!
