Congrats! I'm very excited for you! One of my friends went to Kleinfeld for her dress (and actually ended up taping an episode for Say Yes to The Dress) and I know she didn't expect to find the one on that trip but she did!!
Good luck to you!
Good luck!! Sarah and Keasha are my faves as well. If I were in NYC I'd definitely go to Kleinfeld's.
I went "just to look" and came out with a dress a year in advance! I loved my dress, but will admit that I totally got sucked in by the experience. My recommendation would be to have a clear idea of what you really want and be honest about your price range... and HAVE FUN. It really is exciting
I had a horrible experience, but it had as much to do with me as it did with them. I'm glad you're excited though. Maybe you'll get to be on the show. I do love the show. Randy is as funny in person as he is on the show...pushy too!
I just got my dress from Kleinfelds last week! My consultant was Judy. She was ok. I had a list of dress numbers from the website I wanted to try. They had some of the dresses, including my "crush dress" that I ended up getting. She also pulled several dresses for me, many of which I liked as well. Nicole (from the show) was the one who measured me. I can't say enough about her - she was fantabulous! Extremely knowledgable and engaging.
If you want to be on the show log in to the website and you can apply.
Just was in the city and found my dress- ahhhh joy!!!- with Sarah. She's so encouraging and totally got my style right off. It helps to bring some mag pictures, since she not only finds the EXACT dresses in those pics but has an eye for details that you love.
Tell her Tracy says hi!!! I got an Anne Barge strapless lace dress that is out of this world- vintage romantic. I told my fiance now I'm more excited about the dress than getting married- hahaha just kidding.
That is so exciting!!!!! Even if you don't find 'the one', I'm sure you'll have a great memory from the experience!
Yay! Sarah seems like such a peach! good luck with your dress search and hopefully its a wonderful experience
Cool beans! I got my dress from Kleinfelds and actually ended up being filmed and put on the show. I bought it during a blow-out sale. My episode aired first back in March and the re-run showed a few times episode: Bridal Wave". They totally added a whole lot more drama than necessary, but oh well. I got it! It's an "eve of milady" A-line, chock full of bling. I know I didn't get a full "Kleinfeld's experience" since they do it differently suring the sample sales, but that's cool. They will really make you feel like you can't leave there without buying a dress (they 'encourage' you- Especially Nicole) so be ready.
Good luck! I wonder if they'll be filming that day?
What kind of dress are you planning on getting?
OMG How exciting! Sarah and Keasha are my favorites too! Come back and tell us all about it!
Thanks, Bees!
@KolaBee Thank you for the heads up on the "encouragement" - I sometimes get that sense from watching the show. I purposely made 2 other dress shopping trips before making my Kleinfeld's appointment to make sure I tried on lots of dresses beforehand and wouldn't feel pressured into buying something too early!
@shortcherriez I'm hoping to get a trumpet-style dress, something a little bold with some structure and glamour - think old-school 40s style! (without being too "theme-y"). Before I tried on any dresses, I was totally set on romantic and delicate lace, but apparently my love was unrequited, LOL. A more structured, clean trumpet style just seems to work better for me.
I'll definitely post an update after my appointment!
I love Sarah and Keasha on the show, so I hope Sarah will be as cool in person. Be sure to let us know how it goes!
Hi Bees! Just wanted to give you an update - my Kleinfeld trip was a success! Details here!!

I too am going to Kleinfeld this Thursday & am VERY excited, but more anxious honestly, b/c I know exactly what I want to try on! Lazaro 3003! I tried on Lazaro 3002 at a place nearby (Philly) & I liked the top, but the va-va-voom bottom was not what I had dreamed of. After exhausting all of the bridal salons in my area, I just decided to FINALLY try on my dream dress (closest place to have it in my area was Kleinfeld), so hopefully, if all goes well.. I can go back home to the nearby store that does carry the Lazaro line and order it through them for the awesome price they offered it to me for.
*fingers crossed so tightly* I've spent hours searching for my dream dress, but I fear that since I've tried on SO MANY dresses thus far, that I'll be ***desensitized*** and won't have that *special* feeling once I do try on the Lazaro 3003. How do I know if it's the one? Am I supposed to know when I take the last look at myself before I go out on the platform & show my mom? What if it ends up looking bad on my bodyshape.. after me obsessing over it for all these months of trying to find something that tops it.. even though I haven't even actually seen it in real-life? I'm a very emotional person, but because dress shopping is such a serious matter to me & I have yet to find anything that comes close to the picture in my head, I can't seem to connect to my emotions. It doesn't help that scouring the weddingbee boards are putting all of these scary thoughts into my head about the Lazaro dress 3002 & 3003 (people talking about ordering the dress w/ a shortened bodice, not being my goal weight come the measurement appt this Fri. & having difficulty with them altering the waist area b/c of all the ornamental & bead work, finding the right shoe with a reasonable platform to give me height,..)
*Phew* I feel like I just poured my little heart out here. Someone hug me!
((Hugs!!) So was today the day? How did it go? I admit I didn't get "the feeling" when I picked out my dress, but my sister did so I took that as a yes. Can't wait to see what you ended up with!
Going to Kleinfeld's at the end of the month and Sarah is my consultant too! How did it go, hamster? The link you provided for the thread doesn't work for me :(
I have an appointment at Kleinfeld's in a couple of weeks and they didn't tell me who my consultant will be. I just signed up for the appointment online though, did you girls call in and request a specific consultant? I love Sarah, Keasha, and Audrey!
@miss.gloves: Do you mind if I ask when you'll be there? I have an appointment on April 30th in the morning. Wedding date twin shopping in the same store, hehe.
@techie: Thanks for the tip! I'll actually be there on the 22nd. We had already been planning a vacation to NYC before my fiance proposed. After he did, I couldn't resist working in an appointment at Kleinfeld's! Here's to both of us finding our dream dresses!
. Get Audrey if you can. She zeroed in on what I wanted so quickly and I went there pretty unprepared. The third dress she pulled was the one. I know for a fact I wouldn't have found it so quickly without her!

Hi Bees!
So I've made my Kleinfeld appointment (It's 4 weeks from now, yes they book up fast!) and Sarah will be my consultant! I'm super excited - as a devoted Say Yes to the Dress follower, she and Keasha are my absolute faves! Anyway, just wanted to share my excitement with the Hive - this will be my third dress shopping trip, and I have a feeling it will be *the* one!
Any other bees out there with Kleinfeld experiences to share?
