I see Tony who is the owner at Hybrid salon (located near the midvale library).  He is the most expensive hairdresser i have ever seen (a haircut is 60 something.  Not sure where you moved here before but that is on the higher end of a cut price in madison).  That being said i have wavy hair and it has never looked better.  I can smooth my bangs and let the rest of my hair air dry and get tons of compliments with literally doing nothing to my hair.  I found him through another friend who has curly hair and also did some research on some curly haired website.  The last few people i saw made me look like a mushroom head!  He is doing my wedding hair too…no comment on that yet (my trial up dois next week).

I go to MCV Salon in Sun Prairie (Aveda Salon). I get my hair done by Nicole who is great with color. I have out of control thick’s curly, wavy, and straight all at the same time! She straightens it for me which is how I wear it daily and it looks great.

For a hair color and cut I pay about $80.

For a color retouch, highlight, and cut $120.

@lightmist:  I have been going to Courtney of Bombshell Hair Designs for almost 10 years (holy crap!).  She’s fun to talk to, cuts hair well ($30 for a cut), and when I used to get highlights (highlights/lowlights – ~$130), she did a great job.  She’s located in Luxe Salon Suites off of Old Sauk Rd, near High Point Rd.

That being said, I have pretty much stick straight hair, so I don’t know how good she is with curly hair.  My sister has curly dark brown hair and sees Dean at Hair Forum on University and loves him.
