Hoping to get some responses soon here! So, I am having the hardest time finding the perfect “bridesmaid” dresses, because I am having madrinas in my wedding instead of bridesmaids.
For the ceremony, I am thinking of having my madrina de velacion y madrina de lazo choose their own dresses bc they are playing very special roles and they are also older. One in her fifties and the other in her thirties. Same color but different style.
For my madrinas de: arras, cojines, biblia y rosario, ramo natural, y ramo artificial, (also from the ceremony) I am thinking of having them wear the same dress. This one pictured below. Estas cinco madrinas son delgadas y tienen entre 23 y 28 anos.
For my madrinas de salon (arreglos de mesa, libro de firmas, brindis, etc) I was thinking of having them wear whatever style they want but same color and length (hopefully) as the madrinas de la iglesia. This is bc these are older ages and curvier body shapes.
How do you think this will look? Se ve mal que las madrinas de salon vayan vestidas diferentes que las de la iglesia? Como le hicieron ustedes?

Hmmm I would say have them all in the same color shade and length just different style which ever suits there bodies.just in my opinion maybe the madrinas de salon won’t feel as important because they don’t have the same dresses as the ceremony madrinas..I know if I were to do that I would already have drama.lol I can hear it already”y porque nosotras no tenemos vestido como ellas” LOL

The bridesmaids might be agreeing with you, however wondering why they are all in different colors, have them feel all the same algunas se pueden sentir .

I am actually having both padrinos and damas, I’m not requiring the padrinos to color coordinate exactly. The damas will all be wearing the same dress except for my one junior dama who is going to wear the same dress but shorter. I’m just going to ask all the padrinos to wear black tuxes and the madrinas to wear whatever they like in a soft color. since my colors are prodominatly white/ivory/dusty pink with crystal/black accents.

Sounds like my sister in law’s family…they have madrinas for everything…in my opinion is a way to ask for money / pay for the wedding/quince in a nice way :)P
