I have a friend who I would like to buy a magazine subscription for – she, like me, is moving back to the States to get married this summer, and I know she loves magazines. So I thought it would be a nice addition to her shower gift. She’s conservative, religious, very feminine (and excited about the whole housewife-ing thing), in her early 30s, loooooves to cook (as does her FI), and has never actually lived in the same city as her FI. I’ve narrowed it down to three magazines, which should I get her?

what about “real simple” magazine? Has great recipes, home decoration ideas, and other ways to make your life and home organized!

I agree with the suggestion for Real Simple! Also Cooking Light (even if you aren’t a dieter, it has great tasty and healthy recipes) or Clean Eating.

I’m pretty sure she already gets Real Simple 🙂 but yes, I do loooove that magazine!

I am not a big fan of Redbook or Good Housekeeping – but Bon Appetit sounds great! Also, if she likes cooking, Rachael Ray’s magazine is GREAT, even if Rachael herself is a little annoying, haha

I think Bon Appetit or Martha Stewart Living would be great!

Looks like Bon Appetit may be the way to go. Thanks for the input everyone!

Real Simple is a great idea – I LOVE Cooking Light – all the recipes are great and reasonablly (but not excessively) healthy!

I’m guessing Bon Appetit would be the best. I really don’t like Redbook at all.
