I have been semi-obsessed with Maggies Fiorella:
I had to try her on this week to see where I land size-wise and to make sure she is all I have been dreaming of….even though I have another 40lbs to lose before I order a dress (50lbs already gone….yay!!)…So to get to the point…I make an appt at the local bridal shop that carries Fiorella to try her on….their sample size is 10 in alabaster. The model in the official Maggie ad (above) is wearing Pearl. I would love to have a winter wonderland style wedding and am planning on pewter/silver accents, bridesmaid dresses, ect. So I get to the store, try on the dress in alabaster…the color looks ok so they find me a Maggie sample of another dress they have in pearl…it just looks like a darker color of alabaster…not what I had pictured and definately not for me. 🙁 So I ask to see a Maggie sample in White….the sales lady says…”oh, no….white looks cheap”. What? She would not show me a Maggie in white. I know alabaster and pearl will not work as they are too creamy for my vision…and she won’t show me a freaking white dress!! I left without trying on any other dresses.
SOO..so any other Maggies brides (or brides who have tried on Maggies) have an opinion on Maggies white color…does it look ‘cheap’ in your eyes?

No, they do not look cheap. I’ve tried several on. I wouldn’t buy from that store if I were you, but then, I hate giving business to difficult businesses 😛

@galloway111:Oh…I agree…I will NOT be buying a dress from them!!! I was less than impressed with their service to say the least!!
@futuremrsny: Thank you for sharing these!!! You are stunning….I would kill for your figure! These are in white, correct?? They look awesome!!

They don’t look cheap.
I ordered my Maggie in Ivory, but I also tried on some in white. I do have to say though that the White was VERY STARK…very bright. It was too harsh in my opinion on me (a brunette white girl ).

I don’t necessarily think white looks cheap, i just think that white looks like a very very bright bright white, i went with Diamond white for my dress and even though i haven’t recieved my dress, i was able to see a different maggie dress in diamond white and it looked really nice! It was still white but a far less bright version of it, it was more of a warm creamy white if that makes any sense. But i don’t think white looks cheap at all, i just think that maybe in pictures Diamond White or Ivory might look best because the designs on the dress can really show, at least thats what i have been told by photographers and bridal shop employees in my area.
Maybe you should try a Diamond White dress and see what you think of it?
And wow! That sales lady should have showed you whatever you wanted to have shown! Your the bride! Defenitely bad customer service!
