Hey, maggie makes petite versions of her dresses and they are great. I ordered the summer royale in a petite and i'm still going to have several inches taken off. Before I ordered that dress I fell in love with the Kameryn which is a beautiful lace, it just didn't fit my venue.
I was told that the Maggie petite dresses are 3 inches shorter than the regular sized dress.
I was so close to getting a Maggie, but then I chose a Casablanca bc they do a hallow to hem measurement where they measure you from the hallow of your neck (base of nec) to the floor. Your dress is custom made to fit your height. It is an incredibly awesome service! Mine was for no extra charge too.
I'm not sure what other designers offer the HTH, but I'm sure there are more!
As long as it can be bustled and altered, I don't think you are going to have a problem. I am also pretty petite (5'1) and a die-hard maggie fan. I think we'll be fine =) I am looking for a dress that will elongate my torso and make my legs seem very tall (I am also wearing pretty tall heels) So maybe it would eliminate the height problem??
I love Maggie! all of her dresses are prefect for all the curves haha! I have the Rachelle and when you order your dress they should measure your height as well as other measurements I have to add some fabric due to my height but good luck!
I am 5'5'' and my lady warned me about ordering my dress in petite. Certain dresses can be altered more than 3 inches but in my case it would have affected the pattern so I opted getting it in petite. I always knew I'd be a Maggie bride :)
the Maggie dresses come normally for a 5ft 6 bride and the petite is for a 5ft3. it is so worth it to order it that way since a seamstress will charge you a lot to alter the hem.
Uh-oh... are you sure that Maggie dresses are made for 5'6 women? Because I'm 5'5 1/2, and I ordered my dress in petite for the same reason as ivcsoccer6! The woman in alterations did say I may need to wear shorter heels, though (less than the 3" heels I was wearing when I tried the dress on). It's supposed to arrive in March, so I guess I'll have to wait and see then.

I am completely in love with anything Maggie Sottero. The dresses are gorgeous, but I have heard that you have to be tall to look right in them. Is this true? Do they have a petite version of these amazing dresses??
For the record, Im only 5' ha. But Maggie has so many beautiful lace dresses.
Anyone know of any designers that cater to short brides?
