I don’t know anyone who has worn this dress but try google imaging the designer and style.  Most of the pictures that come up will be the model picture BUT there might be a few from photographer blogs or people’s own wedding websites or weeblies where they are selling wedding items that will have pics of them in their dress.  No promises, but I was able to find a FEW pictures of my dress like this.

I tried this dress on, and somehow didn’t make it home with pics of it.  I love it on a manequin, but I put it on, and it’s a huge, heavy, delicate dress.  The bodice beading is drapped, and I could see it getting caught on things and/or ripped off.  I’m a pretty clumsy person, so I didn’t get this dress.  But, on the right person it could be great!

I finally had to register with wedding bee to comment on this dress! I just bought my dress the other day from RK Bridals in New York City. I must say I was really lucky because apparently Maggie Sottero has discontued this dress and there are only a handful on sale on ebay, recycled brides and craigslist.

Some are sample sizes some are used once. I almost bought mine from craigslist in a size 4 (street size 0) for $600 but my bridesmaid surprised me by getting me the new one from the store. I can’t wait till I get my dress and try it on. I must say it is definitely one of a kind dress. This dress is glamourous and whimsical combined in one. The gorgeous draped beading can be both jazzy (1920’s glam) and vintage at the same time. This was the first dress my consultant pulled out for me because she said when she saw me, she envisioned me in this dress and boy was I impressed! I really didn’t have tulle in mind but the tulle bottom actually softened the sharp mermaid silhouette on top. It was perfect.

I will post up pictures once I go do my try-ons. Just in case if anyone is curious, the dress at full price was 1279 plus tax (about 1300) but you will find it cheaper on line if you don’t mind some of them being worn once. My wedding will be next year July 7th, 2012 and I will only be wearing for a few hours. My dress will be altered to fit my 32-25-35 and 5’3″ frame. The back is corseted so it will adjust to someone who is more or less around my size. If anyone is interested in my dress after that date, don’t hesistate to contact me!
