That is a big chance to take.  I wouldn't want to wait till April and then it be too late.  If there is a gown you already love, I'd suggest you get that one.  p.s. I am looking at Maggie Sottero dresses too.

Maggie Sottero does have beautiful dresses, mine was a Maggie too.  Mine took 4 months to come in, I ordered it last November and it came in in March.  I would suggest ordereing by Feb-March to leave time for alterations.  If you order in April and it DOES take 5 months, you wont have much time for alterations.  Ill bet you can find a Maggie gown you love that is already out.

That is a bit risky! Because you also don't know if the spring 2010 collection will be delayed or not.

I just looked through the spring line and it looks gorgeous but I still like my maggie better! If you have already found the one you love I say go for that one!  http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/gallery/wedding_dresses/runway/designer/maggiesottero/detail/193062

Mine was a Maggie too (Phillipa).  It took 6 months to come in!  I would not wait for the new line of dresses if I were you.  It's too risky.  Alterations can take a month or more too.  You aren't giving yourself enough time if you wait till April.

I wore the Maggie Sottero Jorie, and it took 7 months to come in!  Luckily, I had ordered a year in advance, but I was still kind of shocked that it took so long.  I agree that waiting until April would be really pushing it...

I 100% agree with you about Milana being so beautiful.....probably because that was the dress I wore for my wedding and I loved it so much. I had a custom made halter strap for it that could be snapped in and out.  Here are some pics, I had the champagne with light gold overlay.  Good Luck~

Some stores might have some dresses from the Spring 2010 collection. Apparently my dress is from that collection: http://www.brides.com/fashion/dresses/gallery/wedding_dresses/runway/designer/maggiesottero/detail/193074?offset=71 and I tried it on and bought it a couple of months ago. It might be worth calling around :)

I wore the Adelaide by Maggie Sottero and LOVED my gown!!! I wish I could wear it every day!   Your dress looks stunning, too!     I ordered mine in August 2008....it was supposed to be in by the first week of December but the "platinum" line was on extra backorder (the dresses come from China) and I didn't get mine until about January 15th....so it took 5 months.

Plus, you have to think, if you order in April, there are LOTS of wedding in the spring and fall so the dress could take 6 months.   Order early just to be safe!

I got my dress for $675 but I live in NC so everything is cheaper.  My two friends back home in MD also wore Maggie and their gowns were about $1300!

I ordered my Maggie (fredricka) on Saturday and they told me it would be Febuary before it came in, so I don't think I'd chance it on the April dresses.

I fell in love and took it right off the rack for 675 !! .. now im having dress seperation anexity lol.. Im looking for some Spice colored bridesmaid dresses.. there is a site who sells reduced priced alfred angelo but im scared to buy one and they send me a paper bag .. i wanted my gals to pay around 70 bucks for their dresses because they have to get shoes and all that glitz.. hmm still looking for a store to give me some discounts.. P.S. I live in nyc.. so for me to get that dress for that price.. was a miracle..Tongue out

Cool beans that you got the dress!  I've got teh Maggie Celeste in blush pink.  It took me awhile to figure out the BMs dresses because I don't want it to clash.  We are doing purples.

I was torn between a Maggie Sottero and Sophia Tolli. I LOVE Maggie dresses, but Sophia Tolli are very similar and one of the ladies at a dress shop told me it is because Sophia Tolli came from Maggie's and branched out. Anyway, I was feeling so super rushed and pressured to get my dress because all the shops told me 5 months on both also. So finally, I decided on the Sophia because I felt it fit my body type better and ordered it in late September for my March 13th wedding. It had a delivery date of January (4 months) and ended up coming in less than a month! I am sure I just got lucky and they happened to have one in stock, but it was a load off. What I think though, is that if you risk it, you will be freaking out about it from now until your dress arrives. And if it arrives early like mine, you will feel silly for every worrying but I can tell you I was really nervous we would not get the dress and alterations done in time!

I got engaged in December of 2008 and immediatly started looking for dresses. When I ran across maggie dresses I absolutely fell in love with almost all of them. I just figured that there would be no way I could afford one. I proceeded with my dress shopping never asking for a particular designer. After trying on a ton of dresses at one of my local shops, one of the assistants tells me that she had a dress in the back that was in my size and was just marked down and even though it wasn't what I was looking for she wanted me to try it on just to see. She brought out the Fredricka dress which i didn't think I would like at all, however once I put it on I quickly changed my mind. It was the last one, fit me perfect and the only thing I need to have done is have the hem taken up.

Asunw, it is really neat to see that someone else has the same dress. Mine is the pearl white, what color is yours? I must say, our dress is very rare. I was a little worried that it is not your traditional dress but then again I guess that is the stunning affect of it.
