i had the same issue with my maggie dress but my consultant told me that it is much better to get the dress larger because it is always easier to have the dress taken in, but could be a nightmare have the dress taken out where you need it. in the end i was glad i got it the size larger.

The divina is a corset top so if that is your concern area i think you will be fine

@dreams030684:  My Maggie (not Divina, but also corset back) came in this week.  Even though my measurements were pretty much exact (with the exception of my chest, which measured 3″ larger than the size chart, with my bra on) the dress is a touch large, with lots of room in the chest (forget chicken cutlets, i’ll need turkey

I would go with the smaller size personally, especially if you are trying to lose weight.

Personally I am like you and in my hips I am between sizes. I bought the sample dress which is the smaller size and while I’ve been working out and trying to lose weight it is stressful on me to think “What if I don’t? Can they take it out enough that it will still look good?”  If given the option to buy this dress again I would pay the extra to get the gown ordered in a bigger size than save some money and hope I can fit into it later.

@dreams030684:  Do you mind my asking how much you paid for it? You guys proved that even us curvy girls can rock the divina!! yaaay! Please give me the contact details of your salon, I want to check whether they have a sample in size 10, even an 8 or 12 can do. I dont have time to order one. I want the divina in blush so badly!!

Thanks bunches xoxo

@dreams030684:  Stunning! Which dress size did you end up with? I see your post was 2 months ago so I assume you ordered by now 🙂

I ordered my divina at the largest size and I was in between 3 sizes! Waist bottom and bust. The corset will adapt much of the fluxuation. Plus a bride that says “My dress is too BIG” is always happer then the one who says “OMG my dress is too small!”

I just ordered the Divina and I was having a similar issue.  I’m a street size 0.  I measured a size 2 in the bust and hips.  However my ribcage measured a size 6.  The consultant convinced me to order my dress in a size 6.  I hope I made the right decision.  I agree with most bees that I would rather say “OMG it’s too big” than “[email protected]#& it’s too small”  In the end I trusted my consultant (LOVED HER!!) because she knows the gowns and the designer.  My dress will be here in 3 months so we will see if I made the right decision.  Personally I would not even factor in the weight loss anticipation.  Dress the body you have (and be thankful for your endowment….I got none of that!!) and be proud.  The dress can be altered to your body, you should not feel pressure to alter your body for a dress if it is too small.  Good luck!!
