I am torn between ordering a size 0 or a size 2 in the Maggie Sottero Divina dress. My bridal consultant measured me at a size 0 in the wasit and hips and a size 2 in the bust. I was told to order a 0 and it should fit perfectly, but all the posts I’m seeing say the dresses should be ordered a size larger. I would have been fine with the 2, but she told me that the lace up back would be so pulled together I wouldn’t really be able to see it… Should I go for the 0 since there’s wiggle room with the corset or go for the 2 and perhaps get more alterations??
Any advice would great!

@karie279: I had a similar dilemma and ended up getting the larger size. I was told by people on here I could have gotten the smaller because of the corset, but I was too afraid of not being able to fit! They can always alter down but it’s much harder to make the dress bigger. How much larger is the size 2 than the 0? If it’s only like an inch in the bust you’re probably ok to order the 0

@karie279: I think it depends on how large your cup size is. I would probably go for the 2 if you’re a large B or C cup (or larger), otherwise you are probably okay with the 0.
On the other hand, do you prefer to have your dress skin tight or a little more breathing room? You could be fine in the 2 as long as you don’t lose weight, especially with the corset back. If you don’t feel the need to strap yourself into the dress then it might not be a big deal to let the lacing be a little loose. The dress probably has enough structure that the laces won’t sag.

@karie279: You should probably be ok in the 0 (so wish this was my delima, I have to add a corset to make it fit my bust) because of the corset back. However, if you are on the fence about it or felt that the 0 might be a little snug you can go with 2. It is easier to take something in than to let it out.
