Since the boards seem pretty active right now, I'll try one more time then I promise to let this thread die with dignity...
I am wondering if it is that bad in person, though. I think that sometimes details look exaggerated in the stock photos. Thank you for replying!
I really like the gown...that train is gorgeous. However, I can't be any real help because I've never tried it on!
Thanks bunnylovesbear. I love the lace, train, and straps/sleeves. Such a rare combo in that price point! That stupid wire part is throwing me off. I have time yet, so I am not going to try on for a while yet, so I am not too worried. I just love dresses and have way too many in my file. The more I can narrow down now, the easier it will be later haha.
What's the price point? Maybe I'll add it to my list! :)
Can't say for certain, but the most expensive Maggie I tried on in the past (Ruby) was $1500. I think some of the pick-up skirt/heavier embellished styles are more, though. I am comparing this because the Ruby had a lot of embellishment and lace, so I am assuming this is going to be similar since it is also lace/beading. But, too, I live in Mayberry, so... ;)
I really want lace and sleeves.
I honestly think it looks a lot like an underwire bra too, which is really unfortunate because the rest of the dress is SO gorgeous! But you're right, it may look really different in person/on a real bride. Why eliminate it beforehand when you can just try it on and decide for yourself?
Good point, veganglam. I was just thinking in terms of if I have to track it down to try on/can't find it around here, would it be worth it? I guess if nothing else hits the mark, it would be in the end, but it is definitely a detail I know could be a dealbreaker. Like I will not even try on dresses with asymmetry no matter how beautiful the dress is just because I know it will bother me. That sort of planning, you know?
I also love Casablanca 1942 for similar reasons. I'd love to see this if any "real" brides have pictures!

I am so glad that this thread got revived! I just wanted to add that I love the back of Divinity. That is also a major factor -- it is buttons over an inner corset. I love the look of buttons but the figure flattery of a corset. It's funny; I started this thread really not liking the underwire part, but the more I talk about this dress/look at it, the more I am liking it!
Back:

I actually bought this dress and was very concerned about the top part. But I went yesterday for my fitting and the top is gorgeous. It does not look like a bra and I'm so relieved that I dont have to redo it. The picture makes it appear to be satin but its actually overlaid with layered lace and beading. The top actually looks more like the back of the dress. They also have a new one that has many similarities but doesnt have the cap sleeves and a different top...Check out the Catarina.
I bought the all ivory version so it may have helped the look too.
Did anyone here try on the catarina? They don't have the dress here only divinity.Looking for pictures on the internet to find real brides in catarina but no luck yet.
I went for my first dress shopping session yesterday and the Maggie Sottero Divinity was one of my favourite gowns. The satin overlaid with lace is stunning and the dress is very figure flattering. The inner corset holds you up really well despite the low-cut back, the sleeves/straps and the front cut is very flattering for the bust area. Depending on how much you've got going on in that area you can easily add extra cups if needed, the dress doesn't require you to wear a bra at all though. As far as I could tell there was no wiring in the bust area and the top definitely doesn't look like a bra in person.
I tried it on in the gold underlay - ivory lace overlay combo, I'm really pale so the warmer shade suited my complexion.
If anyone has a picture of a real bride wearing this gown I'd love to see!
This dress seems to have been discontinued. What a pity. It was so gorgeous!
There was 1 picture in the Maggie Brides section. The bride looks stunning in this gown and the bust area does not look like a bra at all. There just seems to be something off with the official pic of this gown.
I'll attach both for historiographic reasons. ;-)

I have started compiling a new folder of potential dresses I'd like to try on. I really like the lace pattern and neckline of MS Divinity (the sweetheart with cap sleeves), but I am worried that the top looks too much like an underwire bra/doesn't flow into the rest of the dress. Has anyone tried it on yet or have pictures? It is in her new collection so Google isn't helping me, and the "real bride" listed wore a discontinued style that is similar but not the same. Here is the model pic for reference:
