Hey bees I need some words of wisdom from former Maggie brides. The dress I choose is the Adeline Marie. I went to get measured today and place my order but I left not knowing what size to go with. My bust is definitely a size 2 and my waist and hips are between 4 and 6.
I was measured a 32-26-36 today by the store owner, altho I honestly thought my waist was bigger. I need to get a measure tape from my mom and check again ourselves.
Maggie Sottero size chart:
if I go with the 6 the bust needs a lot of taking in and that worries me because the bust is heavily beaded in this dress. The waist is half an inch too small in a 4 by this chart but the owner insisted I am a 4.
I don’t know what to do! They expect it to arrive by January and my wedding is not for a year.
The sample I tried was an 8 And needed to be clipped at the back. Ill try to find a photo to post!

This is me in the 8- hoping a 4 will be right?!

I would definitely go with the 4. I just googled the dress—Since the back is a corset you will be fine with a half inch bigger in the waist. I was right between a 0 and a 2 and the associate explained that I would be fine in the 0 because of the corset back. It would be totally different if it was a zip up. I am wearing Maggie Sotterro Carissa.

yay another maggie bride 🙂 beautiful choice!
the corset back is such a genius idea lol. I found a dress I loved with a zipper back and of course I was between sizes (more so than this dress however) and decided it wasn’t worth the headache.
Worst case scenario it’s snug when it arrives in January and I have 8 months to kick my ass into shape ! I just worry if I got a 6 and need a 2 in the bust- will the beautiful beading I am so drawn to be ruined in alterations… That would not be a good problem to have!

@Jessicachantal: Agree with the others. Order the 4. The corset will allow you to adjust accordingly.

My measurments very are similar to yours – and so I had that same concern when it came to ordering my dress. My bust and waist measurments put me at a size two, and my hip measurments put me at a four.
My consultant reccomended that I order the size four ‘to be safe’, which I did … and I believe it was the right choice. The only alterations that I ended up needing were at the bust, and then I was just able to pull the corset tight enough so that it fit my waist. If you leave yours a bit looser the four should fit you almost perfectly.
