I have the Fiorella (well, it's the DaVinci knockoff, but it also has the button back). Honestly, your seamstress should be able to tailor it to cinch your waist even without the corset. I had the same concern as you, and my seamstress (Darcy from Fragile Fit in Lynnwood/Seattle) assured me it would do that nice cinching effect we all look for. I will have my second fitting in 2 weeks, I can tell you for sure then if it worked! If not, I'll likely add a corset, too.
@Miss. Meeps: Will do, girl. My second fitting is on the 7th, I'll have someone take a pic. This is me at the first fitting, she bustled the dress in the back and the sides are pinned to take it in about an inch on each side. She could only manage to pin it all the way down on one side because the bodice was so stiff, so it'll be even more fitted to my body once it's actually sewn

So the bridal salon called me to let me know Maggie will not alter the gown in shop...they will alter some but a handful they will not touch...this is one of those gowns.
Now I wonder if I should start looking for another dress or take a chance and let the alterations department at the gown shop do it...:/

Some of you already know I have purchased the Savannah gown :
which is very similar to the Fiorella...minus the pickups but with a corset. After a month of continuous feelings of regret and "wondering ifs" I went and purchased a Fiorella dress.
The only issue with the design is I am not a fan of the zipper with inner corset. The buttons are a very pretty touch but the inner corset is only made to keep a dress in place. The full on corset back will really clinch in and hug your curves which I feel its not full doing at the moment. I wanted the corset back of the Savannah on the Fiorella.
I was told my shop will contact the Maggie department on Monday to see how much this will be extra. Which they believe will run between $200-$400, which I will gladly pay. I'm not too worried about the alteration of the design since it will be done by Sottero's company, I am more curious.
I have Google searched for other brides that have altered their Fiorella I have come up with one woman. Which not to my surprise those pictures were posted on WB some time ago. Has anyone reading this had their Maggie gown altered to a corset back? I am not concerned with it being a Fiorella (but that would be an bonus). If you have please post pictures of the alteration.
