@purplepie45:

Hi Purplepie45!  I’m in a similar boat.  I bought a pretty purple heel – only to find out I need a heel 1″ shorter because now there’s too much space between the floor and my dress!  Thank goodness I didn’t spend much on them.

I started looking for purple heels and Badgley Mischka comes up…  I was looking at Randall but it’s too high so now I can’t decide whether to go with ivory or white (my dress is ivory).

What are your wedding colours?  Are you looking to match the shoes to your dress also?  I’ve read in some reviews that the white is an ‘off white’ so it goes with either colour dress…  but it’s a lot of money to just take a guess.

@purplepie45:

I’m wearing MS Bernadette and Wilda shoes in Rosé Gold. I picked the dress with champagne with ivory lace over it. I’m short, so having a high heel means less of the dress will need to be altered. Good luck. There are so many beautiful shoes out there. It makes it hard to decide.

@purplepie45:  That’s great about the free, fast, shipping and anything to save $$ when planning a wedding helps!

Honestly – any pop of colour would look amazing under either a white or ivory dress.

Don’t buy your shoes before have tried on your dress with some different heel heights.  You pay a lot to shorten a hem and if you’re tall, like me, you may find that the shoes are too high.  I paid $60 for a puple pair from DSW that ended up being an inch too high so the hem of my dress was too far off the floor.

To avoid making the same mistake with the Badgely Mischka shoes I emailed them and asked them for the heel measurements – and they were great measuring the specific shoes that I was interested in.

In the end I ordered the “Lacie” which is “white” according to the website – but it is a little “off white” in person – so it goes really well with my ivory dress.

I also asked at my bridal shop about the shade of ivory of my dress “light, medium what?”  I was told that gossamer chiffon – is most closely matched with “light ivory” satin and that I should “stay away from a buttery ivory”.  So if you have a ivory chiffon – stay away from darker ivory shoes – go for light ivory.  I hope that helps  🙂
