Hello, if you are a Maggie Sottero (or Sottero Midgley) gown bride, how long did it take for your dress to arrive?
Mine is estimated to arrive on 7/28 which is less than 3 weeks before my wedding :P Are they usually early?
I ordered mine in early September and it came in by mid February- I was originally told April. I heard that when you order it makes a difference too... they are made in China and during January the factories are closed for the New Year celebration. If you ordered in the spring it generally comes quicker than the winter orders. Good luck!! Which dress did you get?
I ordered a Maggie Sottero from a local bridal store on December 10th and it still isn't here... so they do take awhile... It will be four months in one week! Good luck

The contender is JSM1095 but the picture online didn't do it justice, so I am afraid it won't come out nice in pictures ... I still love the JSM1095 though :)
I ordered mine in June and it came in July (about 5 weeks after I ordered). They had told me 4-6 months, but I guess there was one already made in the warehouse, so it came really quickly. I was worried about it coming in so quickly, but we inspected it and it is definitely brand new. Hopefully you'll get lucky too. Beautiful dress, by the way!

Yeah, they said there's size 8 available ready to ship :) but I need a ultra small one, so it needs to be factory made ... fingers crossed it will come on time.
I was told that mine would be here in May -- I ordered it in early February. The store called me last week and confirmed that it will be here in May. My wedding is in August, so that should be enough time to make any alterations.

Oops! Didn't even answer your question. I ordered mine the beginning of February and was told to expect it sometime in July. ::Crossing my fingers:: Wedding's in September.

That's so pretty! I tried on another one with the same flowy-ness of yours. Can't remember what it's called though. Mine is Coco. I was torn between that one and Adena. I chose the slim fitting dress. I was told that once I start popping out those babies I probably won't be able to wear something that form fitting again. Thanks for a sneak peak into the future... Sheesh! I actually think the dress looks better in real life compared to the one online.
wooh, the Coco one is sooo pretty. It has many many of the elements I love about JSM1122 and JSM1095 (I think the back is the same as 1095). I love the sillouette of these 3 dresses. With no chest to boast, at least I can show off some curves :P
LoL... That's what I said sphbride... Unlike the model my chest won't be popping out of my dress like hers are. Had I known how long it takes to order a dress (first one in my family and friends to have an actual walk down the aisle wedding so known of us knew) I would've have ordered it a long time ago. Live and learn...

i got my Maggie Gown (Melena) less than a month after I ordered it. However, when I originally ordered it, I was told it would take 10 months to come in.....
I ordered mine January 21st. I was told up to 24 weeks because I needed a petite. It hasn't arrived yet... July 7th is the estimated date of arrival... I hoping it comes sooner!
My dress is the Sonya. The web picture makes it look terrible... When I saw it in person and tried it on, it was amazing! Love Maggies!

Andromeda: I think the web made mine look horrible too. In fact I call my dress the "ugly" dress. LoL When I first saw it I thought it was ugly but I should try it on anyways. Little did I know I was going to pick that one.

Yeah, their pictures were the reason I didn't end up buying the dress I still think about a lot :( Maggie should really revamp their pictures!
I think if by mid July I still don't get my dress, I may end up getting a sample somewhere ...
I ordered my Maggie dress October 4th. The woman said it would be in Dec/Jan. I call after the new year and nothing yet, they'll get back to me. I call again the following week and she tells me March. I call in March, she says chinese new year is holding up all the shipping, but my veil is in. (I rushed in to pick up my veil) I go in at the end of March with my flowergirl and MOH, the owner calls MS corporate and they say expect it in April. I called again last week, she says likely in May..... btw my wedding date is July 12th. I'm sick of this wild goose chase. My dress is AD1005, but in ivory and light gold
Update: I order my gown Dec 10th-ish and it is still not in. :-/... it has been close to five months
Ouch :( Hope you all get your gowns soon! Over 5 months seems like a long time!
Sounds I really should've ordered it in rush then. My wedding will be in Aug and I just ordered on 3/31 or so.

I received an e-mail from bridalgown.net that they will have my dress by June 24th and will ship immediatly.... so it's looking like July 1st for me.... whew. I'll keep you all posted!

I LOVE Maggies!! My top 3 were Maggie dresses, and I had never heard of Maggie Sottero before going dress shopping. The only one that brought me to tears though, and the one I then chose, was Chantilly.

I just got off the phone with my shop and they said the shipping dates are pretty accurate right now. I was hoping it would be in early. I paid for Rush and it will be in about 2 weeks earlier than "regular". I should have it the last week of July and my wedding is Sept 1. I will be looking at back-ups just in case.
I ordered mine in mid-September and it arrived December 20th. I was told it would be in in March or April.

Hey!! I just wanted to let everyone know that I love maggie dresses and I had picked out the perla
I ordered it back in January from southern bride here in SC...when it got here it had some serious defects and the only option was to get another one sent in...to make an extremely long story short...I have no dress in hand my wedding is on 06-07-08 and the store manager told me that I am costing them a lot of money bc they have to take a dress from another bride...(whose wedding date is later than mine) so that i can get it...it is still not here and when I called on saturday 5-10-08 they still have not rushed delivered bc I have to be absolutely sure before they spend 100 dollars overnighting the dress!!!
At this point Im going to have to change my wedding date because even if the dress got here tomorrow (which probably won't) I will have to get it altered because it is a size too big! (and by the way Southern-bride is "the best of the best" thats why I chose to go with them from the beginning...www.southern-bride.com)
I cant believe this happened...I might have to buy some white dress somewhere just so that the ceremony can take place.....unfortunately it wont be the dress I fell in love with...

I have a Maggie Libby dress! I'm an August bride too :) I ordered my dress in Feb 2008 and I received it on the last day of April. Now I just have to get alteration done and I'm all set!!

I'm going in this Sunday to do my first fitting! I can't wait to see it... I'll let everyone know how it goes. I bought the "Colby" dress.
I am so confused. I ordered my dress almost two weeks ago...and I got a call this week that it's already IN!!! I am calling the store right now to make sure this is really MY dress. I ordered the Grace, by the way.
The saleswoman pushed rush shipping so much I was nervous about when I would get my dress.
Update: I love my dress! I picked it up on Sunday. It needs some minor alterations (but the hemline is perfect!). I must say that I am very glad that I didn't listen to the saleswoman when she told me to order the size 8, I took my chances with the 6 and it is actually a little too big. I plan on posting pictures on my blog (by the end of the day) for anyone who cares to check. www.calioc.blogspot.com

Now I am wondering if I should've ordered a size smaller too :( The only dimension that I wouldn't fit in the one smaller size is my waist, which is 1 inch thicker than the sizing chart number ...

Akimbo, I'm jealous! I ordered my Grace (diamond white over light gold) in January and am still waiting. The bridal shop said mine would take longer because it's a petite, but really, shouldn't it take less time to sew all those sparklies on a smaller dress? :p
Sphbride, I had the same issue with measurements. I'm hoping that adding cups and tightening the lacing will help with the extra room in the bust, but we'll see...

My friend bought a Maggie also (the end of Jan.) and she got hers on Memorial day.
When I talked the bridal shop, they told me that certain sizes are more readily available - such as sizes 6 and 8. There would be no hope for me on the petite side of the spectrum. I would hate to have look for another dress for "just in case". I ordered mine end of March.
Ha--apparently all I needed to do was post to this thread. My dress arrived today! It took just under five months and came in two weeks after the date that the bridal shop had given me...
Smithie71, what part of january did you order yours? I ordered mine on the 21st and it's still not here... I am beginning to panic a bit.
